All this is talking about is how they are (in their words): have a new integrated and innovative youth development program, which has become the foundation of the state’s Olympic Development Program (ODP) and the Portland Timbers of MLS' youth academy. The program provides elite youth players advanced training and competitive opportunities throughout Oregon.
All this is talking about is an ODP type thing. It has nothing to do with league play or where the individual clubs will play.

You are reading way too much into this announcement. This is old news. What it says is that the Timbers and OYSA have a development program. Duh! OYSA and the Timbers already share staff for their Timbers DA aka youth academy (not youth alliances) and ODP. There is nothing in this statement that says that OPC members that are Timber Alliance Clubs will be playing solely in OYSA leagues. The statement simply says that this program will not compete with clubs but rather, act as an additional developmental resource for their selected players.
Nice try OYSA propagandist.

This has nothing to do with the individual clubs or where they will play. This whole thread was nothing but a way to try and fuel emotions, when really it doesn't change anything.

anyone that thinks they will go play oysa by themselves is just saying stuff to get a reaction. They are playing in the OPL and they will go with the other big clubs from portland whereever they go. The alliance clubs still run the same as they did before, and make those decisions for themselves. So please wait and see and after they are all playing OPL again I will laugh at you.

This whole thread is littered with people who for some reason wont look at the facts. Here i'll make it easy for you.
-Timbers and OYSA are partnering for ODP reasons.
-This has NO effect on the alliance clubs.
-The alliance clubs decide where they play, and all indications are they are still playing in the OPL.
-Other than the ODP type players this makes NO difference to anyone else.
-This thread was started by someone who wants to trash the alliance for whatever personal reasons they have.
