The "crazies" don't have the best players, but ssshhh don't tell them that. If you don't have the "crazies" then the whole ECNL scam doesn't work. The crazy parents with average kids do not mind paying the money to have their kid travel to have limited playing time (10 mins per game if lucky) and help subsidize the few kids that are great. They think their DD is better than everyone else and let everyone know even with limited playing time. They are the parents of players that went from a B or C team or did not start on an A team and now play ECNL. We all know these parents. They are so "crazy" that the kids that could help make those teams better avoid them at all cost. See the problem here. The crazies help subsidize but don't help you actually put together a quality team that can compete, they help fill your bench and help with practice attendance and keep away quality players that are done dealing with the "crazies" and their antics. FCP keeps gaining more "crazies" than quality players.

Great example of FCP's poor performance was this last weekend in San Diego for playoffs:
FCP U15's made the Showcase Cup which is the 3rd division (basically losers bracket) and was only able to put up 1 win (against Utah who they play in league) and 2 losses. I guess the one positive note is they actually made the Showcase Cup whereas Crossfire United couldn't even do that.
FCP U16's again played in the Showcase Cup and faired a llittle better in the loser bracket with 1 win-1 tie-1 loss.
FCP U17's actually played in the 2nd division, North American Cup but were not able to put any wins on the board. Crossfire United did have their U17's in the Champions League (top division, bravo) and went 1-2 for the weekend.
FCP U18's didn't represent.

CU U16's were also in the showcase. They also went 1-1-1. Not braggable but just the facts.

Unlikely. There was no OT in that tourney. There have been situations that I have knowledge of. Some of the stuff on here is so far off base its ridiculous. I think people just make things up to create drama.

In regular play, they dominated and it never should have went to OT. How many goals we called back from yellows and off sides calls? Questionable refereeing at times. They stopped play repeatedly due to perceived threat of thunder.

Either way, it's a sad statement of the quality of the Eugene team. Irish were throttled by everybody in spring league.

I don't know why you would want to lie. No overtime. No last minute goal. Game was tied forever and girls who are close friends and who will be playing with each other in tournaments going forward and in high school fought hard and hugged it out at the end after PK's. PK result was 4/2 but as well all know they can go either way. Eugene is a small town. These girls have played against each other for many years, go to school together, and are friends. It's hard for me to believe a parent from either team would come on here and disparage the other team.
