CFC also has quite a few girls doing track and other sports, to find a day that would be able to get all the kids there during the week before the next round of state cup would be close to impossible, add to that a drive to Portland, assuming the game is played at a THUSC home field again, and then not only are CFC and THUSC and possibly Eugene families waiting to plan what time and field they play on the following weekend, but also who ever the games involved in the C bracket. Makes for a huge mess.

There's the problem with girls soccer. Don't know why parents let them play multi sports, and wonder why they can't play soccer...

Perhaps they were the ones who wanted the game halted. For example extreme allergy on the part of one of their players.

It wasn't CFC that wanted the game halted. The officials called the match over in the 2nd half. CFC was ahead at the time. That's the breaks. Thusc just needs to beat Corvallis now and they'll go to qtrs. Easy. Not the worst outcome.

...until both coaches/managers enter the score (and cards) into the Affinity system, and they agree.

If zero or one teams have entered their scores, the results are left blank.

(If you see "CS" or "CC" in a scoreline, it means Conflicting Score or Conflicting Cards--the two teams' entries don't agree. Usually that's a clerical error fixed with a phone call or two; occasionally it will need to be resolved by the referee if the teams cannot agree on what the result was).

OYSA can enter the score any time they want. They will have the referee's report by now.

Acknowledging the possibility Eastside ties TS to take the number 1 spot in bracket. TS tied FC's B team and rumor is their attacking mid (gal that can actually shoot on frame) has been out shopping other clubs. Has been a no show at a few TS games lately. Guest played for THUSC, etc. Both TS and Eastdide are nasty, so TS can't rely on brute strength alone in this one. If their key player is MIA for this match up, Eastside could well run the table.

Either way, creates an interesting conundrum with top 3 teams positioned in brackets A and B. One will be forced out early at quarters. Brackets C and D are the easier route.

Interesting that you mention the club shopping, I wish the timing was different for that, sucks to have tryouts during or directly after state cup (depending on ECNL or not). Adding more rumors. There is a lot of chatter that THUSC strongest forward and two of Eugene's girls along with 3-4 03's from CFC are all going to hit TT tryouts. That should prove interesting.

THUSC forward is lock at CU. Older sister is there and kid loves the coaches. Not moving.
