Yeah, their kids end up coming across the river and booting off the players that were so called developed...weird.

Some day you'll understand how it all works. Or maybe you won't. Truth is that at the U9/10 age, all the big clubs start out with a similar mix of talent. They all develop all their kids to some degree, some kids get better faster than others and some clubs are better at this than others. Even so, the bottom end kids at the best clubs are still never going to be as good as the top end kids at the lesser clubs. So when those top end kids from the lesser clubs realize that staying where they are is holding them back they move to the best clubs, obviously displacing some of the bottom end kids.

How do you know which are the "best" clubs and which are the "lesser" clubs? Just look at which way the kids move. It's always from "lesser" to "best". Using this definition, WT_FC is a "lesser" club. But don't despair, you can be proud to be a feeder club, even if that means you're top clubs after U12 are never very good.

Like I said and still can't beat THUSC. Memory not a problem, maybe wipe your glasses and read the standings like the rest of us are doing.

WUSC went from a win, to a tie. Next will be a loss.

                  You heard it here first!

WUSC U12s play just like their big sister U13s. Kick it long and chase it...

Entertaining as usual. Always read this info on the ****ter because these comments are only worthy to be read in a place like that.

Don't label a club as "lesser". There are many ways to measure the worth of a club and just because the club didn't give your dd exactly what she needed doesn't make it a "lesser" club. These clubs have to meet the needs of many, not just YOU. Some clubs are better at meeting the needs of certain types of players and that is ok. BUT SHAME ON YOU for calling other clubs "lesser".

Kinda touchy, aren't we? "Lesser" simply means "of less size, quality, degree, or significance : of lower status". Applies in this case I believe.

                            yep you got me...haha...so touchy!

I find it entertaining that their is a need to label things a "lesser" or "greater" when you take a hard look at all teams at the U12 teams in the pdx/sw washington area the reality is that there are about 7-8 teams that are equal or comparable.

Many of these teams have each beaten each other during various times of the season. There is no clear dominant team/club (maybe CFC right now only based on league record in Thorns league) It seems like you are drinking the cool-aid that is provided at your club.

Have you not looked at the fall league standings for both OPL/ Thorns Premier?

                            OPL Standings:
                            1st: THUSC 10 win/1 loss/1 tie
                            2nd: FC Portland 9 win/1 loss/1 tie
                            3rd: Crossfire WUSC 7 win/3 loss/2 tie
                            4th: FC Salmon Creek 7 win/3 loss/ 1 tie

Crossfire WUSC tied the mighty FC Portland this weekend. THUSC has only lost to Crossfire WUSC. FC Portland has lost to both THUSC and Crossfire. Again proves the point that various teams have beaten each other at different times and not one clear dominant or "better" team or club in this age group.

                            Thorns Premier League Standings:
                            1st: Capital FC Timbers 10 win/0 loss/1 tie
                            2nd: BSC Portland 7 win/1 loss/3 tie
                            3rd: Westside Timbers 6 win/0 loss/2 tie
                            4th: WA Timbers 4 win/4 loss/2 tie

The Thorns league is a little more decisive with CFC dominating this league with no losses and it's only tie to BSC. There is not one team in this age group in either OPL or Thorns league that has any notable accomplishments this season.

Not sure why all the posting and boasting and labeling of teams. This is standard/average U12 youth soccer.

I guess I have a better understanding of the parent reactions on the sidelines now. It must sting when one of us "lesser" clubs beat your "greater" club.

Good effort and great points. FCP has one loss and two ties.
