Do spring league games matter for promotion/delegation for next fall? Also, which birth year gets the promotion/delegation?

FCP ECNL 2001 didn't do well last year in OYSA either. 4th place in OYSA and got blanked again in state cup. So it fits the pattern.

Spring only matters for bragging rights, nothing more.

FCP doesn't care about wins/losses. That's not what it's about.

That's good, since they have so many losses and so few wins

Ahhahahahahahah. Ahahhahahahahahah. Who lied to you??? They wouldn't survive and nearly didn't because they don't do a good enough job developing players and have to recruit in. You've heard the Fc Portland parents, they are brainwashed crazy who only care about wins.

Apparently growing membership at a phenomenal rate and putting more girls in college than all TA clubs combined is "nearly not surviving". Hate to thing what state the TA clubs are in then.

Wins are important to parents for sure.

Yeah, you hear that in the crazy screaming banshee TA parents on the sidelines. They know their DD's teams won't survive past U14 so they have to "win now" - even if that means resorting to bootball thugball to do it.

                      Way to represent 03's!

Congrats 03's!!!! All I ever read on here is how OR can't compete with SoCal. Well your U12/U13 03's did exactly that playing the Jr. ECNL showcase in San Diego this weekend. Went 2-2 with wins over the Eagles and SD Surf this weekend. Maybe the future isn't quite so bleak for OR soccer after all! And before you go club bashing take note that it took a great group of both Crossfire and TA players to compete. Nice work ladies!

Congratulations to those girls. But let's keep this in perspective, even if this team will be able to compete against these teams in the future, it's not as if other Oregon teams haven't been able to compete over the years. And furthermore, even if this is the best team to ever come out of Oregon, it doesn't remove the overall view that it's difficult for Oregon teams to compete out of state. One team doesn't make a complete change in the sport. None the less, congratulations to the girls and hope they stay together and compete in the years to come.

Here is the thing, this is great! If Oregon could figure out a way to get the most talented girls all on one team we could likely be competitive. Probably even have 2-3 teams worth of competitive outside of Oregon and the 02 and 03 ages if there was only one option for soccer and that option wasn't exclusive to those with $ and time to drive to Portland.

Interesting that they had TS's midfielder playing.
