I don't think many TS girls can make an ECNL squad. Those coaches look for speed and (here's the kicker) technical skills. They see plenty girls who can run fast, and know their position well, but do they have the technical skills to hang with the big guns?
What TS has, that other teams lack is a taste for blood. They are a win at all cost club. They go for the girl, and then for the ball. If the girl is too fast, they grab their jersey, pull their shorts, hook their ankles, or just push their opponent from behind. They hurt other players, and put them on the bench. They don't always get caught, and the refs think it's on accident because they only ref the team for one game.
Just look at the TS wrap sheet. Two weekends under their belt, and they have already accrued 9 card on the girls side alone. That kind of consistency isn't a coincidence, it's taught by coaches and reinforced by parents.
Sure, they win games with those tactics, but it won't last. They too, will get injured one day, when an opponent decides that they don't deserve to get away with such crap.

It's an officiating problem. The refs need to call all the fouls they see. Most games it seems like the ref doesn't even have a whistle.

WOW! My dd has three years of H.S. and 7 years of club soccer under her belt. There have been maybe 3 yellow cards total for her or her team mates in that time. But then FC doesn't teach that crap. It's all about learning skills.

Very typical Sherwood team, they usually have a couple girls that can play, the rest are not super skilled but big and athletic, they challenge hard for every ball and are not afraid to foul. I have a U15 dd and that Ts team played the same game. The best are the parents on the sidelines that cheer for the hard fouls, it's a football town, so that's the mentality. The big girls start to get slower and the lack of skill catches up to them and the tables start to turn in HS.

It seems to me one FC parent has nothing to do but answer his own posts here. Hey, if it makes you feel better to vent out in TS and attack a particular team because they happen to be better than your own kids team, go for it.
