Apparently it's ok during tournaments but during OPL league play can players who play up come down on age for some crucial/tough games to help with some on-age wins and then go back and play on their play-up team?

If that's true, then an elite player could essentially play on two teams (on age and one age up)in their club and help both teams compete. Would help the club with wins and help that player develop but probably hurts the development of others (particularly players whose playing time goes down in order to play the elite player. Pros and cons.

Basically it comes down to ethics. The player pass has some very good uses and can be a great tool, and I think the majority of teams use it for what its for. However, I know there are teams that abuse it as well.
What would be best is we have systems we use to enter in the players who register with a club. Now if a coach was forced to load their roster with those players into the system before each game, then the system could track how many games a weekend a certain player plays and make sure they aren't being over used.

Its pretty sad that we are talking about this, instead of talking about the fact that Westside Tied the WA state runner ups from last year and the WA state champs. And ***C Beat the WA state Semi finalist, Runner up, and State champs 3-0.
We complain all the time about our teams not competing, and we have 2 teams doing very well and we are talking about all this other stuff.

Scores are posted. Anyone see the Copa TS vs Thusc Emerald tie game? Thought Copa TS would win by a couple goals... Any insights?

I didn't see the thusc game.... But what surprised people the most (not there was anything super surprising today, I know the person previous talked about thusc but they are NWCL so tying another NWCL doesn't seem like a surprise)
So whats the biggest surprise to you:
1. Thusc tying Copa TS
2. Eastside tying VFC
3. ***C beating FCP 5-1
4. FCSC beating Copa

All the results are a bit surprising to me but think the most surprising was VFC tying Eastside. So many folks seemed surprised that VFC was even in the NPL... VFC proved why they are.

Most surprising for me is the Thusc v copa ts score.

Eastside is developing every game. I would predict by next year if this team stays together they will be ahead of many teams that are beating them now.

Also too many people place too much on the summer tournaments. Teams are dealing with kids being gone and filling those gaps in different ways. Some with kids playing up from B teams and some have kids that are playing up come down. I think the season will show the strengths of the real teams.
