We are only a year away from having two options for the girls....OYSA and ECNL

There was minimal talent at the H.S. that was non-OPL. ECNL will simply exacerbate this. Oregon soccer was ugly, but what is now left after the split, ecnl and thorns, is downright fugly.

Ouch!!
It definately helps to have money. Money is used to pay for the club teams and it helps you pay for travel tournaments (where you get better competition).
You can also use it to pay for private training sessions. private training sessions can be expensive, but they are well worth the money! But without the money, you can't pay for those things that help you get ahead in the game.

Sad you feel the need to be there. Let the coach coach them.

As far as posters say, they won't do it because of parent travel costs, I understand the concern, but this is your daughter's path, if ECNL is what is truly best for her, then everyone will still be just fine with you staying home for a few expensive tournaments.

If you include parent travel it's could be $12000 or more per year. That's ridiculous.

Ecnl doesn't start until U14 so of course the younger ages aren't playing. Also some players will save money & only do Ecnl u16 & u17. Our U14 is in 8th grade. We are waiting at least until next year. Also wanted to let avoid the first year kinks.
