    2. how many complaints sent to Ad

    3. how many kids got screwed because head coach doesn’t know what he’s doing.

    4. how do figure they’ve figured it out? A couple of wins?

You sound like someone that sacrificed everything to put your kid in front of a joke that’s been failing year after year.
    1. Maybe they're back to their 2021 ways with a record of 9-4-6
    2. Yes, Princess Soccer full of ECNL players. "We couldn't be the problem, we have spent upwards of $100 in youth soccer, and we are perfect:. Letter to the A.D.
    3. Zero kids got screwed by the HC. They were paid through a scholarship or offered a place on the team and didn't win games. Goodbye
    4. Yes, looks like it will be a much improved season.
    5. I sacrificed nothing, my kid trained hard and performed and earned the scholarship every year.

          1. Glad you are hoping for the second +.500 season in a decade. Smart choice there.

          2. what’s an ECNL player? And sorry, your dumb ass coach was the one that recruited them. Sounds a lot like someone that doesn’t know what they are doing.

          3. Want to bet? I’ll bet you your name on here.

          4. If you say so. Mediocre is at least better than bottom of the barrel.

          5. Well, we can all safely say that your end goal isn’t what logical people would aspire too.

          good luck with that.

Is it important that the U of O, OSU, PSU, or UP have top-ranked programs? Can they have good students, a high graduation rate, and help develop good people?

It’s important to the people that post here trying to cope with their kids not making the same teams. It helps them sleep at night and is cheaper than the therapy they refuse to go to

I think people forget you go to college to get a education. Sports is great, but.......

Good people? OSU coach got fired for what? UO coach had numerous complaints about him. PSU doesn’t even understand the word excellence and UP…well you get what you pay for.

To make any team at the college level is pretty good, really good for boys with far fewer programs. To get minutes, even better. To be part of a winning program incredible. Focus on getting a education and playing soccer is a bonus.

Whaddya know. Both Oregon State varsity teams, men's and women's, are undefeated in wcc play.

Speaking of the Beavs, Gonzaga was in town tonight, and once again a local player (Capitol fc 05 Hudson Brunk) put a ball into the OSU net. Unfortunately for the zags, da Beavs notched four goals, winning 4-2. Drew Pederson (opfc/Jesuit) started and recorded two shots on goal, but didn't score.

Nice to see local players doing well in d1.

Nice to know ex OR club kids can be roadkill for our in State D1 teams again this year. Serving as fodder for programs they would never even get a walk on spot at. This is not a good look for OR club soccer as they no longer produce players that can shine at D1 in their own State. Also highlighting just how weak the WCC has become in the last 20 years and how strong the former Power 5 (PAC12) had become. Just stunning.

As someone pointed out earlier, Zach Neuls (Mountainside '24, uc Davis) beat Da Beavs in Corvallis with a late goal.

as far as the former Pac 12 teams go, osu, ucla, and Stanford are good. Cal and UW are trash. And other than osu, they are all racking up those frequent flyer miles.

surprised UP is struggling this year. Like OSU they had three players drafted, but are historically a good program.

(uc davis)Super subbing in for final minutes and being in the Right place at the right time is a great occurrence, let's not extrapolate this good fortune into being an everyday relevant D1 player. U Portland has struggled for decades at D1, too much talent in the power conferences these days.

A lot of it imported. But NCAA D1 is practically a pro development league these days. And I would argue that the quality of play in power-conf D1 has increased due to the foreign imports and their focus on recruiting at MLS and foreign academies.

(The quality of the top D1 teams is probably similar to MLS Next Pro or USL League One, both in the third tier of the US Soccer pyramid, even though NCAA soccer is outside the Federation-specified structure. The bottom 2/3 of D1 men's soccer, as well as the top D2 schools, are more equivalent to USL2 or UPSL, leagues in the unofficial "fourth division" of the pyramid).
