I was skeptical about leaving our OYSA, USYS E64 team to join United’s ECNL program but after watching them dominate the state cup, I’m sold.

I'm telling you, either jump onboard or get left behind and keep experiencing disappointment.

. This.u15 age must absorb the instant loss of so many High quality players every.year all in one fell swoop. due to the initial year of the timbers Academy fielding a squad and thereby gutting the age group of nearly 30 of the best of the best players.

Timbers are adding U16, or perhaps have already. Of course, they SHOULD have been keeping a U17 team that's half from each age group, rather than sending U16s back to pay-to-play soccer and fielding only U17s.

The sad thing about the whole Timbers' Alliance is just how thoroughly the Timbers screwed the Alliance clubs over. Other than the right to have an axe on their jerseys, Eastside, Westside, and WashT didn't really get any benefits from the relationship at all. Not one that I can think of. And Eastside doesn't even have enough pride to ditch the Timbers after their former GM got thrown under the bus for the Thorns sex scandal. (Not that Gavin didn't deserve it, but this particular fish rots from the head and we all know it).

There are oysa member clubs who play in other leagues.

Some Oregon clubs play in multiple leagues including the oysa.

Some clubs extrapolate this elective league play choice, as their immunity shield from any oysa member club rules or bylaws infractions.

Creating a unique narrative is essential to gloss over our outright cheating and rule violations.

Reminder we aren't just entitled, we are the future.

Cheating? How? They are following the rules for the league(s) they play in. If your club is OYSA only that is a disadvantage for them. Change clubs, if you are not good enough to change clubs you are probably in the right club. Sorry not everyone gets a trophy.

Yeah I feel sorry for the kids at UPDX especially those kids on the 7 state cup champions team, 2 presidents cup teams and the founder cup teams. Must be awful to be part of a club that is winning at all level and belongs to the ECNL. Just terrible

Ecnl teams should crush every thing they enter if they are so good. Not one single team qualified for ecnl playoffs and they only won a couple on the boys side. The girls played a state cup without ecnl teams entered so stop padding the numbers we know better.

Let us know when you are getting kids to the next level. Let me know the percentage of those that are actually developed there not just posting on instagram a bunch of academy kids that played for a half season there.

If you are looking for the best OYSA club it UPDX, they win more cups more often than anyone else. The must be developing winners some how.
