Won't work. That team will not stay together to play for George..sorry to break the news....as if.

Most will. You will see. And they should given the options. Fcsc, no. Pacific no. Driving across the river, maybe. But why would you waste your life driving across the river when you have a better team in your back yard. Just hang tight, watch. If a few go who cares. There are plenty of quality kids chomping at the bit to their spot.

Well with basically a select level coach (unproven coach) and almost wholesale roster turnover, the timbers 99 green team will have difficulty avoiding relegation from the premier level after the fall 2013 OPL season.

You're assuming they get into OPL Premier. No guarantees with a wholesale roster change from Valencia. Even the OPL has rules about this sort of thing...

That was my point and NO...most will not play for George....which ultimately means Timbers Blue..green. whatever...will be in OPL first or second which..let's face it here...without Valencia as an entirety..is exactly where they belong....they will struggle even in first division. Fact

Valencia will come to the table, mostly. So why speculate. Plus liberty already has shown they can compete upper half div 1 all by themselves. They are part of the club now, do you not understand that? how could you even suggest that a green team would struggle in div 1? Then you have blues, freedom, and players from other clubs that will show. I also believe some Valencia kids will displace a few reds and those reds may stay too on green. If even 3/4 of Valencia stays not only will the B team compete well in the premier division but your c team will be top half div 1. You are just so far off.

Unfortunately, when combining teams of similar level, 1+1 often equals 1. Sometimes less.

Sounds like you have it all figured out. Valencia won't come to that table...good luck competing with Liberty players and blues leftovers.Timbers won't have a premier spot in the OPL...just sayin'. You'll see soon enough.

True but Valencia is top half OPL now. Liberty is top half div1 now. Reds we already know are NWCL and rcl div1 champs. So this is not a case of 1 + 1 = 1. Ex blues and freedom just add even more players to the pool. Conceivably a few of those players rise too.

The point is that your B team not a low div 1 or div 2 team as you suggested. It is more likely a top half premier team and c team a top half div 1 team. And then you likely have a lower half div 1 team and a top div 2 team to boot.

VT's plan is to have only 3 OPL teams (Moya, von Rabenau, and a coach to be named later if there is enough interest). My guess is that Sunny will use his "pull" to get Moya's team in OPL Premier. Then von Rabenau's will be div 1 and TBA will be div 2. All these other girls you're counting on will be scattered to FCSC and south of the river.

It's a shame for them to break apart and head in 15 different directions. In tact they would be on top of the OPL premier...plain and simple.
Isn't that what they tried with a year ago with Victor as coach?
And we all know how that turned out.

Sunny has pull with the OPL? That's funny

Sunny's always "pulling" something. What a tool.

Last time they played in OPL Premier (Fall of 2011) they finished 4th place. Plain and simple? Ya, right.
