Coaches?
Have any of the coaches been announced yet besides the older boys who already had tryouts? Wonder how many Wsa coaches will get jobs at vtimbers?

Does anyone know how many GU11 teams will be for the 2013-14 season and coaches since club merging with WSA?

No Names
I dont think anyone will be formally named by the club until tryouts. They want as many kids to attend tryouts so why name a coach that has pissed some one off at one time.
All coaches have those that like then and those that dont, its just the way it is so IMO I dont think we will see names until we get to tryouts that way they get numbers and of course revenue!!!! The all to common thread in soccer MONEY.

Morning Soccer People
My hope is that we get good coaches that what to build teams and not let parents tear them down because of old WSA/Timbers rivalry.
Also we are paying for premier coaches to coach our kids and I think we should be able to pick coaches and assistant coaches that dont have a kid on the team. Im all for you working with your kid at the 7-8-9 age but when you start playing premier soccer I think youre either too soft or too hard on your kid.
SO PLEASE NO PARENT COACHES

Never Going To Happen
I dont think we will see this ever happen, also dont think we will see the best teams pulled together in each age group, there will be club and old club politics sad thing is that its the kids who will loose out because parents cant keep there interfering fingers out of the pie.
Also after a year we shall still be moaning that we cant compete with the Seattle teams. Well maybe if we didn't play club and parent games and picked none parent coach and played with the best players and let said coach build a team we just might have a competing team to take on the boys and girls up north!!!
I also believe coaches should only stay with a team 3 yrs after that things get stale.

Parents
As I said parents, you cant build a team in 20 games from the ground up some of those players have played together on other teams and some have never been with the team, you have to give time for things to gel hence the three yrs statement.
Thats why the state cups are at the end of the season so the teams will have had time to find out each others ways on the side. Nothing happens over night and also remember these kids are still developing both mentally and in the way they grow.
It took Man City 3 yrs to build a team with millions of $ why would you think it would happen any differently in your team?
