There is no "Premier" or "Select" anymore.....There are two facets to Youth soccer now....Recreation and Advanced Competition

Sudley
I have to agree with the comment above I have seen his girls team play, there is nothing bootball about it, yes you will see balls over the top when they are on but you will also see diagonal balls designed to turn defenders and play compact when they havent got the ball to defend, so whoever said bootball is very mistaken

The top teams in each age and gender are limited and restricted in number and compete in the TIMBERS NPL PREMIER DIVISION against the best-of-the-best. All other teams could be considered "Advanced Competition"........some skill level higher than recr soccer.

The previous poster was just telling you that there is no "Premier" or "Select" teams at VTimbers....Oregon is soooo far behind the game I think they still call teams "Classic" teams

Muddy, overly physical......any person could see that keeping the ball on the ground only would put kids in a an position to get hit or futile.
Why do you think the English play in the air so much back in the day? Not the best conditions to play on mate...
