Best bang for your buck in OR competitive soccer?

    I’m pretty sure it’s OPFC.

They practice 3-4x’s a week, sometimes up to 2 hours a session; film sessions starting at U12; separation of 1st team kids from rest (allows more competitive trainings, better coach-to-player ratio); play at highest levels for the most part (OYSA Gold, E64, EA, ECRL, soon come ECNL); has legitimate farm system in place for players & coaches (best of the best from WUFC and LOSC picked to be part of OPFC at early stages, both players and coaches).

No club really compares. Don’t know how they do it, but they do it.

Of course. They think they are slick. Can’t have that club winning without the haters coming out of the woodwork.

Best bang for you buck is any club playing OYSA. Oregon is not a ECNL state.

Best bang for your buck, hopefully, is any team your daughter and son ENJOYS playing for. Like the lottery, youth sports is not intended as an investment.

Once they get to the HS ages they’re at least 2 deep at every age group so not servicing the teams as well. But in U12-U14, they’re easily the standard. Less than 20 players but almost always 2 coaches. Practice 3-4 x’s a week. Separate 1st team from all of the rest. Can’t beat that. Little limited in field space when they switch to turf in late fall but otherwise all around they’re the best.

Talk about video- never do it

3x a week training at best and ball gets rolled out rondos for 30 and very little gets worked on tactically for each player- tend to look for big:fast/athletic players to compensate for lack of development which is why they are outplayed tactically at the end of every year- but they got lucky recently since all good clubs in the far west region have gone to ecnl already and have their second and third tier teams in ecrl not usys..

Talk chit about every league they are not in only to chase it the following years- if usys is so good and you try to puff your chest about regional results why move to ecrl(trying to get to ecnl) if that competition is so good

Again they beat all the local ecnl teams who were playing “down” in OYSA, except for the 2007 where they lost to United in the final.

You can’t have it both ways. I hate you United fools keep making me stick up for opfc people. Just worry about yourselves it’s ridiculous.

Not from updx: I am not sure how I can make it any more clear to someone who is so pigheaded and refuses to be honest

opfc and updx played basically even across the age groups with each team having edges in different age groups but nothing significant- updx teams got killed across the board in Washington ecnl and destroyed any time they played in showcases against CA, NV AZ etc. why can’t you see the obvious hypocrisy opfc, you would be in the same bottom half you mock updx for being in. You have not been playing against any “A” let alone many b or c teams from the other states in our region for the last couple years and have slummed in the minnow bracket in the last few summers so there is no definitive comparison - ecnl and mls next now dominate boys soccer as well and you need to stop ….
