Crossfire and WPFC teams are virtually the same as they were last year so adding ECNL does not suddenly make them better. Both clubs have a roster of at least 90% of the same players they did in the previous season. Both teams are allowed to add discovery players but those players are not on the actual roster full time.

Having a child who plays as a discovery player for Crossfire I can tell you that last year they did not send their ECNL teams for NWCL. They sent their Premier A teams. This year they did send their ECNL teams but some age groups had much younger players who were playing up because of conflicts for thier normal roster (as an example 5 13 year olds on the U17team). Maybe WPFC is the same but Crossfire definitely is not.

How many games on average does a discovery player play?

You're just not getting it. Last year the current Crossfire ECNL team was U13 so they were just the Crossfire "A" team, the very best team Crossfire had at that age group. This year they are the same team (with a couple new players but mainly the exact same roster) with the word ECNL after the Crossfire name. So, this years U14 ECNL team is virtually the same as last years Crossfire "A" team.

Depends on how good the player is.

You can look at the ECNL website link below and select the team you are interested in. That will take you to a schedule, results and roster. It will let you know how many games each person has played for the team during the season. It does not differentiate between Discovery and non Discovery but if you know the age group you will likely recognize the Oregon names. You can also find past results for the last few years with rosters.

I would not put too much into some of the BS that you read on here. Everyone thinks they are an expert and you hear that this person is a discovery player and so forth. Each team is allowed 2 discovery players so it isn't as though there are more than a handful of actual discovery player parents that could be posting.

I just followed the ECNL link to look at Washington Premier and Crossfire Premier ECNL team rosters. I only saw a couple of area high schools listed on the bios. If that is accurate then there are not as many Oregon girls playing in as guest players as you would think given all the so called first hand knowledge about ECNL on this board.

Not current rosters for every team

These rosters are not updatd on a "timely basis". There are at least 3 OR ladies on Xfire teams plus 3 from the Couve.

With anonymous posting, I would not believe most of what you read here.

Between Crossfire, WA Premier, and Col Rush, there are maybe 8-9 discovery players. It's really a nonfactor in Oregon, but it would be nice to get an ECNL club since it does appear to have a lot of merit.
