The link was supposed to just be a screenshot of the message from United PDX to the team, but it autogenerated into a google link instead of posting the pic of the message. The text/transcription of that message is below.

This post is not meant to assume any guilt and it does not provide any additional details about what specifically has been alleged. It is just the message from the club about the firing and the SafeSport investigation.

        ------------

Subject: United 06G Premier Coaching Change

        From: Ryan Youngblood

"We are writing to inform you of a coaching change that is effective immediately. Due to violations of club policy, Lu Brandalise Wentz is no longer employed with United PDX Soccer Club.

We realize this is a difficult situation for our players, families, and members to experience. We have organized some resources available for our players to utilize if they wish to do so. If you'd like to access some of these resources, please contact me for more details.

There is also an open investigation with U.S. Center for SafeSport. We do not have control over this investigation and, similarly, are not privy to updates on the investigation and thus cannot provide any additional details at this time. It is important that we trust the investigation process to play out - in fairness to all, including Lu - and not to make any prejudgments or determinations based on the fact that there is an ongoing investigation."

To me seems like she got canned cuz they didn’t want to take any risk and said club policies in case safe sport doesn’t find proof

Sounds about right. Guilty before proven innocent.

not touching youth or pro female soccer. Everyone seems to find something wrong or something to complain about.

I’m also a parent and only brought my daughter to that ****ty organization so she could play for Lu. We commute for her. Amazing human and coach. We don’t want to stay but afraid nothing out there past tryouts

Lots of teams will look at additional players coming out of high school. NWE just posted supplemental tryouts. This sounds like a truly unfortunate situation for all involved. The ripple effects are huge and I feel for the players.

Lu is a good coach and an even better human being. She’ll get hired elsewhere, and the majority of her teams will follow. Not sure what United was thinking in developing their response to this situation, maybe it’ll become more clear with time.

How will she coach else where? You have to pass Safe Sports to Coach. If it comes back against her no one will hire her! For the club to take the stance to immediately fire her it has to be something serious considering she was the Girls Director & coached multiple high level teams.

It is serious. More to come on this. Paul Riley “was an amazing coach” too. Wait for the facts before you demonize the decision.

The ALLEGATIONS are serious. Whether they are true remains to be seen. You have to let the process play out to be fair to everyone. If they are not true, or if they were embellished at all, this will have done irreparable harm to the coach's future.

have you read safesport decisions? There are coaches that harass players and just have to coach under supervision.

They are true. They have the evidence. That is why she was fired. This was not a case of he said she said. They have the evidence.

In this case she will not be coaching anywhere else in Oregon at least.

it’s a sad situation, but she broke one of the rules that no coach can break
