With the red headed monster out of youth soccer you are getting less numbskull for your dollar now.

I think it would be a detriment to my daughter's well being if I took her out of the program. I don't even make these decisions for her. She is the one actively telling me she wants to compete at a high level and be a part of the program. I have never once heard my duaghter's coach verbally abuse anyone.

I understand that you want justice for what has transpired, but where are we drawing the line here? Gavin is out and deservedly so. Merritt is likely selling the team.

Do we just fire every single person who's worn a Thorns badge?

Do you fire every single person who's worn a Thorns badge? Maybe, they actively worked and supported these people. This wasn't the first report that came out.

I love the people who say “this didn’t happen to me, or my daughter”, so it must be ok..? The point is that if everyone takes this attitude then how do the victims get any justice. You must hold the entire organization accountable or there will always be scapegoats and patsy’s to take the fall and the snakes will keep power.
sorry, but yes the entire organization is corrupted based on the Yates report and must be rebuilt. Otherwise this will happen again. History proves this.
Merritt Paulson is highly involved in the Thorns Academy. Highly. His daughter plays there, his wife has coached summer games for the 08 team, and I have personally seen him at many events talking to admin and coaches. How do you think they practice at Providence??

Destroy it all and rebuild it. Better. Only way this gets fixed

Fairly treated, said no one at the Thorns ever. Thanks for your post Tracy. Keep up the good fight

Tracy has her own reputation as abusive. And has said some pretty terrible stuff to young players healing from injuries.

But all of the people who have kids there say the same thing. “College attention” “the brand is great” “elite teams” only 1 is true here. But “college” is loosely defined….yes George Fox is a college.

And how about the position of the ECNL, will they drop the Thorns Academy from the league?

Lol. That affiliation with a ‘professional club’.

Sure didn’t help the older teams. Everyone left.

Yes they will. Until Merritt Paulson sells.

                          My guess is no.

Already in motion. I’ve heard from a reputable source that ECNL has already communicated with Thorns Academy and there are contingencies in place depending on NWSL position for ownership.

They could be suspended from ECNL participation beginning as soon as January 2023

                                No, no they won’t.

these leagues are money grubbing and don’t care about that enough. Even the ga for all the talk they do don’t really have the ability to kick clubs out.

they all love money and social media more than reality.
