Sorry your remedial child was cut
05 team wins 1 time out of 7 attempts in the most diluted age group in Oregon's Soccer history.
Quite the record.

West Linn must be doing something right with all the bashing for them and OPFC.
WL HS is starting 4 freshman and 3 sophomores, Don't think they will be great this year but if they compete then thats a win. In a year they will be in state champ contention and that window will last till the current freshman are 1 year out of HS. Lots of talent at 08 and 09.

But that's how it goes in high school soccer. One or two good players graduate, and a hot team one year can stink the next.

First of all, they are not competing. They have lost every game so far with the exception of one. Against Wilsonville. Because of a penalty. Four games in they have only scored two points.
WLHS has six freshman on their roster. Some of them are 08's. No other team in 6A has that many. There is a reason why you don't see a lot of freshman on rosters and it has nothing to do with the skill of those players, it has to do with how big they are. 14 year olds should not be competing with 18 year olds. A lot of boys hit a big growth spurt their freshman year, some hold off on that growth spurt until sophomore year, but once they have that they are ready to compete with upperclassmen. That is why JV programs exist., to give kids a chance to not only develop but to grow. High school soccer isn't "the beautiful game." It can be incredibly physical..
As to the 08 and 09 talent comment wait until these kids hit the other side of puberty and then comment on how talented they are against high school kids. Its a cliche, but puberty is the great equalizer.
