All of these close matches/ upsets for Lincoln and Jesuit will
just give them the fire to win when it really matters. It seems it’s hard for guys to get up for these regular matches especially when they have club games with better soccer on the weekends for ecnl .
A Jesut mom told me the Sunset team and fans acted like they won state when they tied 0-0.

Sounds like a fair number of buses may be parked on the field at Jesuit in the future...

There is a lot of talent on the Jesuit roster, but not a lot of intensity or motivation. Coaching is a problem. No real strategy or game plan. The lineup is not based on talent, rather some seniority and relationship preference. Jesuit is probably not a real threat to go too far in the playoffs.

LMFAO. It was embarrassing? What is embarrassing is the over glorification of Jesuit by Jesuit kids/parents, and then the blame/rationalization/justification game when Jesuit under delivers. The reality is, Jesuit is ordinary. Everybody knows this but Jesuit themselves. Although I bet one of their 14 coaches/trainers/special advisors know this and will not admit it.

(Or dad).
Seriously. This is high school, not U12. Don't be a feminine hygiene product.

Lucky for you this is anonymous because you aren't sexist at all, are you? Better take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror big boy. Because you are packing a big heat of sexism. Way to represent Sunset daddy. Best of luck to you going forward. I hope sincerely hope you find a way to celebrate with more grace and poise, should you actually tie going forward.

Metro league is tough. Four teams could conceivably win it still--there might be a big tie at the top of the standings. Fans of a certain parochial school seem a bit annoyed that there is a chance they might not finish on top.
Take care of Mountainside, you'll probably win the league regardless of the ties. Fail to do so--well, Jesuit will still qualify for State, but someone else might be getting the Metro League silverware.

If they are struggling it's not likely due to "tactics" or whatnot; the players are just not executing. And I doubt there's someone on the bench being overlooked.

Yeah, you don't know what you are talking about in terms of Coaching or players or depth of bench. You don't have a front row seat. That's okay, nobody and certainly not me needs to get on here and try to educate you on that. Will say again, no tactics, no game plan, no strategy. Kick the ball, hard and far to fast forward and hope for the best. Play the kids you have the best relationships with and hope for the best. You can defend and back peddle. These are broad thoughts amongst the community, who are there, witnessing it first hand. In the end, it's all okay. The boys are having a great time. Great team, great kids and great program.
Still, some of the complaints sound a bit like "why isn't my kid playing more?". This is HS, the kids can speak for themselves.
Bootball is a strategy, and it often works at this level. Especially if you have guys like DP who are faster than 90% of the players who will be guarding them and have the touch and technique to bring down the ball and take shots.
I will agree that last year's Jesuit team looked stronger
