it’s just that they are disorganized stop making excuses
Supplemental tryouts have been on the site the whole time. Hope your kid has fun in the clown car you are shoving them in to. Conversely, they want a good experience let them try something else out. Won’t cost you a penny.

If I’m getting email don’t you think we’ve already done the Westside clown car?

So cranky and impatient about what a club is focused on right now. I would imagine that there are a lot of checks and balances in place, so WS is doing what they need to do.

Instead of whining why don’t you call the office and ask them when they’ll have the new logo and make the change? Most clubs have supplemental tryouts. What age group were you at that you saw small numbers? Did you go both days?

The club seems to have a lot of balls in the air at the moment... I suspect (not having inside information but reading tea leaves) that the Thorns divorce was not something planned for a while, and that leaving the Alliance likewise was a sudden shift. So there is some scrambling going on.

On the other hand, poor management of social media accounts has been an ongoing problem.

There players are leaving them Some of there teams will be lucky to play in Division 1. It was obvious when attending FC and UPDX, they were all looking for a new option. 08 white team had 12 players tryout.

It's pretty tough to make the Copa Red 08 team with all their talent....FC PDX s a low-level 08 team D1 or Premier Silver-- updx 08b is also a non-factor team near the bottom of Premier Gold or top Premier silver. The real story is 2nd team at westside is virtually a look like to the best that FC & UPDX can offer. That's gotta suck to be those clubs.

If you can't make the 1st team go join a garbage 1st team at an also-ran club. Same ole...Same ole..club hopper mentality. Happens everyear.

There are a few age groups Westside has to keep an eye on, and one that is in some serious trouble. (Hint: JV was the coach last season).

08s are not one of those age groups.

Just a heads up there are tons of FC PDX, Wa Timbers, UPDX, PCU, NWE, OPFC, WST, EST, ADF etc... kids at each other's tryouts this week. This is what happens when the pdx area offers walmart value soccer coaching at inflated prices to a clueless market. Enjoy. Don't forget to sign up for the off menu Privates, it's a steal.

This is so true, no club loyalty because it has not been earned

So you are saying that over half of the 07B Copa Red team is moving to UPDX because 1) they are counting on BM replacing half the black team, or 2) they are content to play on the blue team? Because really, I find either scenario a little hard to believe.

This is the first year that not ALL tryouts were on same day. I bet...that doesn't happen again! I know multiple players that will attend tryouts for 3 clubs this week, and then weigh the option. Some clubs trying to force the "accept my offer now, or i give it to someone else".

I don't think over half from Copa Red. It looks like a handful from Copa Red and a much larger handful from Copa TS.

There are many kids (and many more parents!) who think that "I (or my kid) is good enough to play for the state champs at my age group, and displace an existing player on that roster; it's just my current teammates that stink". And then get offered a spot on the B team.
