In the older ages High School begins to influence transfer decisions too. When they play with "new" friends at high school...often in an environment that coaches aren't yelling as much and pressure not as intense...they remember soccer can be fun with friends. This makes for a lot of changes at the U15/U16 level. Good ones find out that they can get better somewhere else...and be with friends. The clubs do a terrible job of building "teams". I realize they get 2 practice and a game...but it is solely focused on soccer skills. Players play better with kids that they like and trust. They play more free flowing, and they play with greater confidence.

In high school the kids spend all year with each other, the build friendships that transfer to the pitch.

There’s usually quiet before a storm. This stuff feels like it’s going away or it’s about to blow up.

If no one - I mean JB, RN, OPFC, LOSC, WUSC, the club BOD’s - did anything wrong, then there’s nothing to worry about. No splits, no enmity, no broken laws, no shady behavior, no negligence…no problem.

But if things come out (i.e., recorded in a lawsuit), and they’re bad, Buchanan Schmid should probably turn to non-profit litigation as its full time outfit because the business of representing parties in claims related to Oregon youth soccer entities seems to me like it’s about to be boom.

        Not sure your accurate.

OPFC is a middle of the road club that has "contenders" at every age. None are dominant, none are bottom feeder, all compete in Gold. Not all clubs can say they compete in gold and are in the upper half... or top 5ish at most ages. This speaks towards consistency. Hard to argue this fact. Likewise they never have produced a winning team that did well at regionals.

Regarding the TA you are full of BS. OPFC encourages kids to go to the Discovery if invited and encourage them to join the TA if they make it. You have to remember that CDP was an OPFC guy before, Fernando (TA coach) has a son that plays with OPFC and AH has plenty of connections there as well. OPFC might not be a "timbers" affiliate but they are tight on many levels.

The TA is mostly useless though. First, they are terrible at developing talent and they pull kids at U15, have no U16 team because they are cheap, and most of the U17 kids are not from Oregon and are still bad. Amateur hour over there. I always wondered what the draw was and why kids would want to be a part of the sh1t show for a year or two just to be recycled back to OYSA. But, whatever.

There are a few age groups at OPFC where a lot of kids defected to other teams. The 08's are one of them. I don't know if anything the OP is saying is true, but OPFC has had some trouble retaining their top talent for a few years now.
This is a true statement. I think the rebuttal was that OPFC has in fact lost more talent from the WL and LO then they get from out of area. The other guy was essentially saying OPFC has to buy talent which is false. That being said, the 08's have lost on a few good players through the years including the below mentioned two from WS and UPDX but have got a few from other teams as well. This year two transfers from ADF came in but neither has helped much. The 07's benefitted some from an ADF exodus as well and are beating some teams that they lost to previously. The 09's have lost more talent than they have gained and another kid is leaving the team at the conclusion of the year will only push them back further.

Soccer in Oregon is mostly lame. Too many teams, too many privates, too much cash and too many people wanting a piece of the pie. All this cash flowing into the game and we can't produce a team that competes with Washington's elite teams. Who's fault is that? Look in the mirror.

This is the guy that throws cr@p against the wall, makes stuff up, and then sits back in his chair and **********s about it. By implying something illegal or immoral takes place at a kids soccer club is a crack up. He will never post the exact offense or details and instead put vague accusations that are without merit.

Buchanan Schmid is actually not some guy. It’s a law firm representing multiple parties in pending litigation over at Bend FC.

I'm trying to understand the provocation of this post. To be clear- you are either making an accusation that the entities you mentioned are doing something illegal and will face justice or you are making an attempt to make it look like you know something that you do not.

I suspect you know nothing. Otherwise a man of your arrogance would post it here while thumping their chest in triumph.

Please do tell what facts this post is based upon. What specifically is illegal and who did it.

If you are unwilling to post specifics then please leave. You are a waste of internet space and a very weak minded person.

One would assume that a practicing and duly-licensed lawyer wouldn't be dumb enough to talk shlt about a pending case on an Internet message board.

I can promise most that read this dribble roll their eyes and shake their head. The guy keeps coming back with nonsense and your cheering him (you) on?

Buckle up? For what exactly? for more vague accusations from some dude sitting in a cubicle posting about little boy soccer teams?

OK, I'm buckled. Now what. Bring it all on at the same time. Let all the accusations fly. Let all this dark matter be revealed.

Or just go sit in your cubicle and realize I beat you at your game. I win. You have NOTHING.

Might be someone relegated to the bench, by his superiors. Wonder if he can even handle his own business?
