I think the way they got into this situation was that one of the Canadian teams in Flight B didn't show up at the last minute. During the August weekend, the way they dealt with the situation was to convince some Flight B teams to play an extra game so the Flight A teams could get all their games. During the October weekend, they simply didn't play the games that were scheduled with the team who didn't show. So now they are in the situation where most teams played 6 games, but some played 5 and some played 7. What a mess.

But they deal with this sort of thing all the time. Not all Flights are balanced equally, which is why they include in their official rules how the extra game will determine final points. I'm surprised someone carelessly told teams that their extra game didn't count without reading their own rules.

What's even more shocking is that they are telling a team that because they verbally told a another team their extra game didn't count and that the official rules are void.

Why didn't Crossfire B team get a sixth game? They might have advanced over their A team if they had gotten a 6th game.

I don't know but I am sure it helps LO that their head coach is a board member of NWCL....so with that said I am sure it will be LO that goes thru.

If I were a betting man I'd have to put my money on the Vancouver Timbers on this one. Should be a good game regardless!

I don't think they have a good shot at all. I think their is a chance based on how they match up and they didn't get destroyed on either side. Based on this season and preparation timbers should be the winners but games like this, who knows

I think both would definitely have a shot at finals if they played Timbers in semis. I expect NWN to take all.

Timbers have a very good shot at winning the NWCL.
Here is how I rank 'em
1) Timbers
2) Crossfire A
3) WPFC
4) LO / EMFC

I think it will be WPFC vs Timbers in the finals, with WPFC winning. Although slot will depend on the health of the teams by December.

Timbers has one of the hardest scheules and beats rush, nationals, crossfire A, crossfire B to get into the semis and you think wpfc who had a cake walk schedule and beat who? Eugene?
