And don't give me this garbage about Washington Premier being Div 2, they accumulated a bunch of new talent since last year's relegation. Eight new players I heard! The fact that they will enter ENCL next year becomes a magnet for the elite talent in the area. I watched them play and there is no doubt they are better than half of the teams in RCL div 1 now.
Well, Yeah, just look how Washington Premier finished above all of those RCL division 1 teams in the NWCL A bracket. So should we say, "RCL div 1 sucks because a bunch of them finished behind a div 2 team"? Vancouver Dad, you are an interesting, strange, entertaining, insecure dude.

northwest nationals seems to have had a sub par weekend. Missing players? Did they play well but not finish?

I would have stayed with just "strange and insecure".

NWN clearly had a subpar we weekend. Besides the loss to Lake Oswego, they lost 2-0 to the Timbers, a team they had already beaten 2-0 not once, but twice in league play this fall. Clearly they were off their normal form, but I don't know the reason why.

Whatever the reason, their misfortune was WA Premier's fortune because WPFC started the weekend 1 point behind Crossfire and 4 points behind NWN. So despite going 3-0 last weekend, WPFC needed Crossfire to stumble or NWN to stumble big time to advance. Crossfire also won out last weekend so it took NWN losing not just once, but twice, to allow WPFC to go through.

Its pretty ridiculous to think a Washington B team does that to a Oregon state cup winner.
That's no ordinary B team. These are not all kids that couldn't make the A team. More than a few of the kids on the B team chose to stay on the B team as they got a new coach this year and they didn't want to play for Crum on the A team. That is what crossfire has that no team from Oregon has, DEPTH. Enough depth to create 2 very strong premier level teams. Washington Premier also has 2 very strong premier teams, currently 1-2 in RCL Division 2.

Okay let's see... "coach from the parent sideline instead of the coaching sideline." Giving an opinion about team depth doesn't have to come from the parent sideline, nor the coaching sideline.

"wonder why no one listens to you anymore" Are you implying I'm a former coach or something?

              Your response is baby-babble.

"How's your team????" We are doing great!! Thanks for asking! But if you are the Timbers freak who keeps slamming other 12 yr old girls, I will (if i'm ever on here and see it) point out your team's weakness...YOU HAVE *ONE* AMAZING STRIKER...I haven't seen remarkable depth yet. ;) Maybe I will after Vancouver clubs combine.
I've been reading these posts for a while. I've come to the conclusion that most posts attributed to Timbers parents probably aren't from Timbers parents.

It looks to me that they only respond when someone else takes a shot at them-- if it's even them responding. They win a couple of tournamnents over the summer, and not even a peep out of them. Not one comment talking about the wins, or the games.

I went back and read through all the GU13 threads-- yeah, I'm a glutton for punishment. I couldn't find one where it appeared a Vancouver Timber parent started anything. Found several pretty animated resposnses to attacks on them, but again not even sure "who" is actually responding.

the one "Amazing Striker" comment is pretty ridiculous and does smell of envy. I'm pretty sure she can't make the save, outlet it to herself, switch the field, possess thru the mid field, make the thru pass, receive the pass in space and score all by herself.....

why don't we go about talking about our teams successes instead of constantly ripping on others.....

Here's the thing. Vancouver does have a great striker up top and she will score most of their goals for now. That will all change in 1-2 years. Her speed will no longer be as big of an issue. She may still stand out and be a great player but everyone else will catch up. It's easy to stand out U10-U13 where there are so many different sizes, speeds, and some just catch on earlier. I have no doubt this young lady will continue to develop as a player and always be very good but if she didn't have the support of her teammates they wouldn't be winning. I think the Timbers are talented all around as a team and will continue to be a top team for years to come. It's not just the one striker they have, it's the complete package.

"But take away their striker and they are average at best ... no depth"
Just kidding! ... Just wanted to point out how ridiculous the comment about the Timbers striker was too! LOL!

                    LOL!!!!!

The funny thing is they played without her for almost 4 months because of an injury last spring and some of state cup....she didn't get back to 100% until June/July... Look at their results at that time....they are very good results without her....

Are you kidding me?! This almost always starts when someone makes a positive comment about the level of play in u13 OPL premier, then Vancouver Dad just can't contain himself and goes on about how terrible OPL is and how much better Vancouver and RCL is. I think you'd better try re-reading this thread again :)

Actually, she can...the others are just there to pay the club fees. Have you not seen it??

                          OPL parent here--

that post just gives more evidence that there are uniformed and jealous among us.

our girls have played them. What strikes me is that they are one of the smaller teams we play, they certainly aren't the most technical, but they play a very good "TEAM" game. they work the ball all around the field.

Interestingly enough, in our losses to them, i don't believe their star striker scored....but you probably don't want to hear that.

It was sarcasm. But the rest of your post is quite accurate.

Your compilation of Eugene's results against RCL 1 teams ignores their loss to an RCL 2 team. You could argue that the Division 2 team is more like a Division 1 team, in which case, you should add that loss to Eugene's record. But by ignoring it, you leave yourself open to the argument that with a record of 0-1 against RCL 2, Eugene should first worry about whether they could compete in Division 2 before they worry about whether they could compete in Division 1.
