Had OYSA not been a complete cluster fk, the OPL would have never been created. The OPL was back at the table this year. OYSA is the same incompetent mess. Don't blame the OPC for OYSAs failures.

Did ya even bother to read the lead in post? Obviously not. The topic of discussion is how to unify Oregon soccer to make it relevant again. The questions to be answered are: How to get Chuck to step aside and how to get the OPC to become more accountable to the parents of the entire state and do what they said they were going to do to IMPROVE premier soccer. They either need to transparently run all of Oregon competitive soccer or they need to turn it back over to a revamped OYSA leadership.

It doesn't matter who did what 2 years ago. What matters is where the State will be in the next two years and a bifurcated structure is hurting many kids and clubs for the benefit of a few!

The thread is called "AUSC" and the lead-in post is about "a dedicated thread to keep track of the Blackmore Follies".
AUSC was a respected rec-level club, but now has become the laughing stock of Oregon youth soccer. Unfortunately, it's unlikely that AUSC members will recognize this -- no matter what happens they will continue to believe in Mr. Blackmore. Just cognitive dissonance. For example see:

I hope you are better with sharp knives than you are getting the point of a post. Da point
was that Scott would be a great person to head up a combined club. TA has demonstrated experience with the girls and FC has a demonstrated track record on the boys side so who cares what their name is...serioulsy this is not an English test its a blog to share ideas so I guess your only positive contribution is to be the gotcha editor...sheesh!

Dream all you want, but there will never be any mergers involving THUSC while TA is at the helm. No other club wants to associate with him. And on the other hand, I don't see his ego giving up control to anyone else.

Love how people can just come on here and say whatever lies they want and not be held accountable for them. I guess we can blame your parents for not raising you right. Unfortunately that probably means your kid will turn out the same way.

Someone should hold a news conference, and alert Mr. Blackmore. Pretty sure I saw a lot of out of district types using THPRD field 4 and 5 over the weekend...at the Los Lobos concert

Not to belabor the point but those fields aren't turf fields they're grass right?

Reality may dictate a new way of looking at things...now this is only hearsay around a tournament pitch but an "Nike Premier Team Alliance" might be in the offing.

Sorry to ruin your illusion. The majority of premier teams would prefer to use a nice quality grass field like field 4 and 5 than the turf fields.

Any soccer player would tell you the same thing!

Last I checked, the only Nike "Premier" clubs were FC Portland and LOSC? How would this work?
