    I wrote post #9. I messed up. I'm sorry.

There are obvious problems with all clubs. And there are some good things within each. Thank you for those that put things in perspective. This should be about the kids, more than about which club is better than the other.

Congrats to all this season. Good luck this weekend to the teams still in it.

Another thing to think about are the number of players from other clubs' teams that moved over to THUSC in order to keep players together. It is a phenomenon that repeatedly occurs with girls' teams. Add to this are the number of families convinced to consider a change, e.g, Bend players coming to Beaverton because a successful soccer family (whose son now coaches for THUSC) could provide information about the benefits of the club's HC also being a region IV ODP coach/scout.

Players come because teams win, because programs are strong and because the results are there. I would never blame a club for that. It's a good thing. FC gets new players because of results. Same with THUSC, WSM, and OSSA. If players are convinced to go to a new club then the old club must not have been doing a good enough job. I'm happy where my daughter is and no amount of "convincing" would get her to change clubs.

And DOC's of OPL clubs cannot by coaches for ODP so you are wrong there. Plenty of coaches for all the clubs are though.

FC Portland U11 B played horrible soccer, no possession, just kick and chase.

Same with U12. They send a ball over the top to the one forward every time. Works well for now but they need to change there game if they want to keep winning.

FC is so known for kicking the long ball. How on earth did they get 10 teams in the finals doing that? Just once, I would like to see them do some possession soccer.

Great day for FC Portland, funny how they haven't been blowing up this forum with posts about how good they are.

That's because they know everyone knows better.

They probably don't want to pull a THUSC.

You gotta figure they were going to at least win a couple of matches, considering they had 10 teams in the finals.

Then Google Tom Atencio and read his comments.

Give it time. Someone will come on here pretending to be an FC parent and start controversy. Works when they do it for WST, Rage, and THUSC. People on here always fall for it.

                                Interesting

What I find most telling is this. 30 teams played on finals day, 27 of them are from the OPC, one bend team, one Eugene team and one NE Portland team.

OYSA who needs you? We are so much better off without you. Other than CFC who played in the OPL but went OYSA state cup, the OPL is the place to play in Oregon. Yes as OYSA likes to brag you have farwest regionals and you claim it is the best....(sorry had a little throw up in my mouth)....(better now) it is not the best. The DA has taken the talent out of us youth soccer so, SORRY.

Here is an idea, fire Chuck he sucks. No really, what is the problem over there, he sucks. Just look at the OPL State Cup champions list and clubs that played, now look at yours, this guy has drove this in to the ground.

Now look at the above, 27 OPC teams in the finals? You telling me Chucky can't come up with a marketing plan to lure those teams outside the OPC back to OYSA? Let the OPC have their own little soccer nervona, go get all that chedder.
