Nemesis '98 is a boot ball team with a loud, obnoxious coach. Look for teams like FC, ESUFC, and Sherwood to do better than Nemesis this year. Boot ball and size only takes you so far.

Regardless he's an excellent coach and whatever team(s) lands him they are lucky.

Absolutely agree with this statement. I feel bad for some of the girls on the U13 FCSC team, as they have a ton of athletic ability and heart, but they are not being developed. I would not let a coach yell at my kid the way there coach does and I certainly don't want my kid on a team that does not teach possession soccer. Boot ball is great soccer as long as your booting it to a forward who's making a solid run and you maintain possession. Boot ball is terrible when your just doing it, because you have no other options, because your teamates don't know how to find open space or overlap. We have played this team many times and the kids just look lost under pressure, not because they don't have confidence, but because I honestly don't believe they have been taught the game of soccer. I am constantly amazed whenever, I see a premier level team stack the 18 with all 11 players. They are getting progressively worse as a team, in spite of the very talented and athletic individuals they have. I mean none of the players or parents any disrespect and would love to have some of the players on their team come over to ours, because they have so much potential. You are absolutely right that their current style of play has gotten them as far as they are going to go. The kids that have been learning tactical possession soccer are beginning to dominate them even further.

I am also wondering which team beat VUSA this weekend to be awarded a birth to the WA Championship Cup, the most competitive tournament in WA, Oh thats right, the FCSC GU13 team. As for the comments in regards to training, my daughter has played and trained with several people, to include connell, macaya, sonny, osterhauge, victor and the list goes on. it is a sad state of affairs for the youth soccer program in vancouver at ages u14 and under. I wish that all the clubs would get together and make one super team, but that will never happen due to the all mighty $$$$ and because a lot of parents would be upset because there little star would not make the super team and no longer be on a Premier A squad and be sent to play B or select. I am sure at older ages my daughter will make a decission to go where the tallent is and we will support that, no matter what club it is. but at this current time in the u13 age group, FCSC has the best to offer her in Vancouver, not because of coaching i think all the teams at this age have great coaches, with Horvath at WSA, Donathan at VUSA and Douglas at FCSC, they all have the girls best intrests at heart and are quality coaches. FCSC just has a bigger presence of tallent at this age. next year with no changes FCSC will also be the strongest vancouver u14 when they move up in age. as for the u12 both FCSC and vusa had great teams, yes Victors team has left, and where those poor girls end up, is anyones guess at this point, if they move the whole team to WSA then they will have an incredable team, if they move some to VUSA, they will only get stronger, if they stay at FCSC with Tina, then FCSC will be great. as for VUSA players and Portland players looking at Victors team, i was there and i talked to these parents, why would they be at practice kick arounds, get your facts straight. things have most likely changed now due to the parting of ways. As for Victor, he is a great trainer, i have been around him several times, and yes he is very hard on the girls, but produces great talent. he has been nothing but great with my kid and my kid would play for him anytime. What it comes down to is i have no worries, my daughter is 12 and she can walk on to any team in the area at u12 or u13. when and if she decides she wants to take soccer as her only drive, because she plays oregon prep basketball, ASA softball, runs track and plays volleyball, then we will look at the best options for her that will not be for a couple years. so before you start saying that i am spilling bs, you real need to get a reallity check and get your facts straight, i am sure that there are several people on here who know who this is and you most likley know also and you know i really dont care what team or club we are from and are out there to do one thing, play good soccer and have fun doing it. You were obviuosly just joking about the letters of intent and I get that, but it's not even funny and I feel bad for your daughter. You need to take a step back and evaluate your priorities. Your kid is going to hate you in a year or 2. Seriously, it is just not worth it. Pick one, maybe two and stick with it. Jack of all trades master of none.

You might want to consider a couple things. The soccer community is a very small world. You've been labled whether you know it or not.
1) Your DD is an athlete. At this age it's relatively easy for an athlete to be good at many sports. At some point very soon everyone else's skill and athletisism will catch and possibly surpass your DD. Right now you're thinking she's all that. Next week she's not so much. What sport is her favorite?
2) Your child is a multisport athlete. High level teams and coaches will look at your priorities and if soccer is equal or secondary your DD may not get the call back. Especially as a play up and coupled with all the other factors.
3) Make sure you DD is a good teammate. Their are 10 other players on the pitch and for a team to develope they need the ball too.
4) Crazy ass parents like you also get labeled. Believe me, from your description I know exactly who you are and you guys are very well known in SW WA. I'm sorry to say in a non-positive way. Keep it up and you may ruin it for your daughter. Clubs & teams and Coaches don't want to add a cancer at the player level and and at the parent level either. Keep it up and you may be forced to play in Oregon because you have no other option. At least there are more clubs to make the rounds at over there and odds are you'd run out of clubs before your daughter is u18.
5) It may be too late. FCSC may be your best bet on this side of the river. Better hope they stay together.

I love to see how people pull out the quotes from a whole message to suit there needs of bashing.

first all, i read through all the convo and it sounds as if this person was giving a valid point as to where to play soccer in sw washington. not saying what club was the best. for that he/she gets bashed. second they state they have been through all the clubs and praise the coaching at all clubs, and there daughter making the choice once again more negitive comments. third, they talk about how they let there daughter make the choices on when and where to play, and thats wrong. forth, because there daughter is only 12, they should decide right now to make there daughter make a choice as too what they want to play. fifth, if they are known there daughter must be a good player, because she is, she is a cancer and ball hog. It sounds more like to me, that there are sore folks out there because there was a choice to play for a club that currently is doing very well. there is a lot of positive talk out there that girls that are multi sport athletes are the best athletes, as long as the girl does not fall behind the curve in the sport she will choose, none of these years are really going to matter until she hits HS ages and higher. my only suggestion would be do not let this girl overdue it, because she will burn out, it happens all the time, but it also happens when kids are pushed to play one sport all the time. oh, and as for the letter of intent comment, i believe that was a joke as to the comment from one poster talking about a club having several girls signing for college and there daughter is still way off from that.
