There is a reason that Salmon Creek is being bashed. They have upset a lot of people over the years and it has made people hostile towards them.

By the way, this is not just one random poster online. If you talk to anyone who plays in the Vancouver area community, most will talk about negative experiences with FCSC. In fact, there is probably at least one player on every team that has left their club! I know that my daughter's team has 3.
I am someone who left FCSC because of Victor and because the "premiere" club is run so poorly, but I'm not going to make VUSA look bad by posting a bunch of nasty remarks.

Yes, this was a troll. What a jerk. I think that a lot of parents really want to help people out, too bad he took advantage of this for the purpose of playing up FCSC. What a stupid name anyway. As soon as he said he saw a practice that was lights out, then it became obvious that he was just a FCSC troll.

I am the original poster.....taking a peak at my thread I started....this site is hilarious!
I am not a troll...I have learned a lot this past week, we are sitting tight and taking in more info....it looks like most of the trouts are first week of may so we have time. As for being called an FCSC Troll...that would be a no! We did not visit FCSC for our session. Y'all need to chill out!

You're best bet at this age group is to tryout for VUSA Timbers 00 Reds come May. Doug Wolvert is the coach. The current team is similar in ability to the FCSC 00's but try to play more of a possession game and have never lost a game to FCSC... No NW Champions League this year but should contend for the OPL U12 title.

He's a good coach. I can tell you that its unfortunate they didn't get the NWCL bid because focusing more on development he had numerous younger kids coming up and playing with kids learning different positions. That team is a top team in the area when they are playing for the win and expect them to make sure everyone knows it soon.

For the record salmon creek has great Premier teams, I know there u11, u12 and u13 teams have beat VUSA Timbers and WSA. There U12 team that is leaving with victor is great and the u13 team is pretty strong, taking 2nd in the opl premier division behind thusc. the u11 team is pretty good also and geared to be even better, 1st because, several of the players came down from the u12 to play at there age. 2nd because, tina the coach will be there full time as the coach. She was playing womens profesional socer with the majic jack last year, but is off next year. She will be one of the few "A" lisc coaches in the area and she has a daughter on the team, trust me that team will be great and beat a lot of people in the process, she will be a great mentor for the girls as she has been through the whole process, as a bonus you will get to meet hope solo as they are great friends. I will add that the VUSA timber u11 has a great coach also with steve baumer, great guy. The current u12 under victor is a great team, and I know they just beat thusc in a scrimmage the other night and have several new girls coming over next year from Portland and yes timbers. They also have 2 girls they take to play at bigger tournaments that play at u13 that are league age 12, and yes they are 99 ODP girls. The u13 are very strong which they have shown. My 12 yo daughter has played for all 3 clubs and it is really not going to matter, what it came down to for her was she made the choice, to play with her friends, you have ODP and private trainers along with the girls own desire to succeed if that is what she wants, also teams will hit you up to substitute play if she is any good, no matter what club your in. I will tell you the best hs program around in Vancouver is camas hs though. My advice, attend the advanced completion fair in sw Washington on April 19th information below. Driving to Portland 3-4 times a week will suck, trust me I know. don't listen to all these people, go and see for yourself, also in sw Washington they hold the tryouts all at the same time so you can only tryout for one club, pretty stupid, so you have to know before you go. Some teams will let you come work out with there teams when they have kick arounds before tryouts, I would go to them all FCSC, VUSA and WSA. Good luck where ever you fall.

I've got to shut this FCSC parent up on his BS

                1) Salmon Creek is not a premier club. They are a select level club. Point proven when their U-12 team left because they can't play the top league in Washington as a SELECT club. They have no U-12 team anymore.

                2) Salmon Creek has no problem supporting a coach on staff who had problems with HS girls and biting his current players. Win first.......integrity 2nd.

                3) Hahhahahahahaha I heard Tina recruit by telling people you will meet hope solo if you play for her. What a joke. You talk awful big about Tina when she has ZERO coaching experience. For the record. None of her players have met Hope Solo.

                4) Your entire post shows the Salmon Creek motto. WINS first development 2nd. This is why they never have a 1st division girls team past U-13. Because once the winning game goes away and skill comes into it. Parents realize they are in the wrong place PERIOD.

Salmon Creek...2 OPL teams GU-11 and GU13 ZERO Northwest Champions League Teams

                VUSA

Division 1 teams @ OPL and RCL (washington)

                U10, U-11, U12, U-14, U-15, U16, U-17 (5 NWCL Teams)

For the record this Salmon Creek GU-12 parent who posted this is full of it as you can tell.

They will not get guest players from FCSC anymore because the coach was fired from Salmon Creek and destroyed the age group.

THERE IS ZERO PLAYERS COMING FROM PORTLAND TO THAT TEAM. COMPLETE LIE. THEY AREN'T EVEN PART OF A CLUB. NO STATE CUP, NO NWCL, NO LEAGUE, ZIP.
And also for the record they were going to get 2 select players from a disbanding select VUSA. NOT ANYMORE. THERE IS NO PREMIER PLAYERS FROM VUSA TRYING TO GO TO SALMON CREEK, THERE IS NO POINT IN JOINING A DYING TEAM AND ITS LAUGHABLE TO SUGGEST SO.

FILTER THROUGH SALMON CREEK BS AND YOU WILL FIND THERE IS LITTLE MERRIT TO STAND BEHIND.

PROVE ME WRONG AND TELL ME ONE TEAM THAT HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL PAST U-13? PROVE ME WRONG AND TELL ME ONE TEAM THAT HAS GOTTEN PLAYERS TO COLLEGE? (VUSA'S U-17 HAS 8 COMMITTED)
Here are some facts to your replys:

                1) they asked for suggestions as where for her daughter to play, i gave my input, as you can see in the original post i do not bad talk any club. i said for this person to attend all before making a decision on one and a great place would be the all club soccer fair and attend each clubs kick arounds.

                2) i am not a parent of an FCSC u12 player, is my daughter 12, yes, has she played for the u12 team, yes, she has also played for vusa, wsa, scfc, rtc and odp at several ages from u12 to u18. my daughter has played premier soccer from the age of 8 playing 2 years up on a WSA team. If you read my post, my daughter decides when and where she plays, she made the decision to play with her team, 1 because she has several friends on the team, 2 because yes they are a good PREMIER team. Just because Washington does not reconize them as a premier club does not mean they are not. we play Oregon premier division, not Oregon D1, which is lower and yes we were in the NWCL this year, we also took 2nd behind the THUSC team in u13 league last year, oh wait there not premier either by your standards, but how is that being they won the NWCL, beating all the WA D1 premier teams. We will be back in the NWCL next year also. I am also wondering which team beat VUSA this weekend to be awarded a birth to the WA Championship Cup, the most competitive tournament in WA, Oh thats right, the FCSC GU13 team. As for the comments in regards to training, my daughter has played and trained with several people, to include connell, macaya, sonny, osterhauge, victor and the list goes on. it is a sad state of affairs for the youth soccer program in vancouver at ages u14 and under. I wish that all the clubs would get together and make one super team, but that will never happen due to the all mighty $$$$ and because a lot of parents would be upset because there little star would not make the super team and no longer be on a Premier A squad and be sent to play B or select. I am sure at older ages my daughter will make a decission to go where the tallent is and we will support that, no matter what club it is. but at this current time in the u13 age group, FCSC has the best to offer her in Vancouver, not because of coaching i think all the teams at this age have great coaches, with Horvath at WSA, Donathan at VUSA and Douglas at FCSC, they all have the girls best intrests at heart and are quality coaches. FCSC just has a bigger presence of tallent at this age. next year with no changes FCSC will also be the strongest vancouver u14 when they move up in age. as for the u12 both FCSC and vusa had great teams, yes Victors team has left, and where those poor girls end up, is anyones guess at this point, if they move the whole team to WSA then they will have an incredable team, if they move some to VUSA, they will only get stronger, if they stay at FCSC with Tina, then FCSC will be great. as for VUSA players and Portland players looking at Victors team, i was there and i talked to these parents, why would they be at practice kick arounds, get your facts straight. things have most likely changed now due to the parting of ways. As for Victor, he is a great trainer, i have been around him several times, and yes he is very hard on the girls, but produces great talent. he has been nothing but great with my kid and my kid would play for him anytime. What it comes down to is i have no worries, my daughter is 12 and she can walk on to any team in the area at u12 or u13. when and if she decides she wants to take soccer as her only drive, because she plays oregon prep basketball, ASA softball, runs track and plays volleyball, then we will look at the best options for her that will not be for a couple years. so before you start saying that i am spilling bs, you real need to get a reallity check and get your facts straight, i am sure that there are several people on here who know who this is and you most likley know also and you know i really dont care what team or club we are from and are out there to do one thing, play good soccer and have fun doing it. If vusa asked tomorrow for her to guest play for them at a tornament, we would, wsa the same thing. enough said, i need to start going through the college letters of intent, to see which one shes going to sign, lol...................

Very stout group. Nemesis is in tough against Michelle French's Eastside team. Hopefully they can win the other two to get out of the bracket. I watched the play-in game between Nemesis 98 and VUSA 98 Reds yesterday. Good, close game for a long time but then Nemesis found another gear and put it away mid-way through the 2nd half. Well done to both teams!!

VUSA '98 is not a good team at all. Can't believe Nemesis even struggled with a win.

While it's true that they finished 11 placed behind Nemesis in the OPL Fall season that still puts them in the top 12 U13 teams in OPL (out of a total of 41). I don't think that means they are "not a good team at all". They gave Nemesis everything they could handle for 2/3 of the game yesterday.

That said, WYS Challenge Cup is a much better fit for them than Championship Cup. Any team outside the top 4 in OPL isn't going to be competitive in Washington.

The U13 FCSC team is pretty good and they had a good coach. Hopefully he is coming back. Not sure I would be so upbeat with the assistant coach. Seems like a good guy but hopefully they will be bringing in someone else to run the team if the main coach is unable to make it back.

                              and

I think her letters of intent comment is laughable thinking because her U-13 team is above average in Vancouver. I think its more laughable that she has no clue colleges will not send letters to her DD as long as she is part of a club who has never shown to give their older girls teams or lack there of, exposure.

                              PERIOD

Pretty sure she was joking on that part--making a point that her DD is only 12/13 and not to overthink it. Thus the LOL comment after it.
