little surprising Eugene didn't get any points; but heared they are missing their main defender. Probably would have maind Eastside game closer.

Games this weekend:

SATURDAY:
OSA vs WUSC; WUSC wins but could be a close one; OSA has quality and if their keeper is playing well he could limit WUSC's attack

NEU vs FC; tie, NEU played a couple tough games last weekend and a game against FC will be no different. If they can score some goals against FC's defense (normally pretty good) then good chance for a win or tie. FC does not score a lot of goals; however they don't give up many either.

LO vs Eugene; Eugene gets some points. LO has some speed; but Eugene is scrappy and should get the win.

Eastside vs WSM; Eastside I could see a blowout. WSM can get into the attack but struggles to finish against good defensive teams; Eastside should outplay them.

SUNDAY:
WUSC vs Eastside; going to be a slugfest and could go either way. My first inclination is to say WUSC as they beat Eastside throughout the summer. However Eastside played split teams so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

FC vs Eugene; FC could get the win if they can score goals. They won't give up much and Eugene is not known to put up a lot of goals in a game.

WSM vs NEU; tie; actually it is a toss up and either team could get the win so I went with the tie. NEU can be a physical team and WSM sometimes struggles with physical side of the game. Though WSM has some good technical players so could be an interesting game to watch.

OSA vs LO; OSA wins; don't know what to write about this game. I think OSA is a better team then LO and therefore gets the win.

Sunday ties for all the games; didn't see that one coming; but again not surprising with with which teams were playing each other.

ESUFC's Boca team is a total sham this year. This is what the All Knowing, All Mighty ESUFC did: they got rid of Juventus who got 2nd in their division last year, made a huge Boca team of 44 players, then divided that into three teams, and then moved all the Juventus players down to the "White" team which put the all the original Juventus players in the lowest bracket this year. The Boca Red team was moved into the slot that Juventus would have been in this year. So, in the end, none of last year's Juventus players get to reap the rewards of their hard play from last year. And the Boca "White" team (previously known as Juventus) is now considered the "Developmental Team" of the three Boca teams.

So what exactly is your point? They had 44 players try out in that age group this year. What did you want them to do with all of the players? I can tell you right now all the players are where they should be. So why is it a sham? Unless you are attending all the practices and saw every player play in every tournament keep your opinions to yourself.

And if you would notice in several age groups for Eastside they got rid of their B team names and simply went Red and Black. So it was not just Boca. That age group was the only one that had enough for 3 teams.

I don't think it will be that interesting.
I think OSA vs FC will be a better game.
or even NEU vs LO

I think those games will be more fun to watch two pretty equal teams.
I wouldn't put Eugene in the same category as WUSC. I think Eugene is a good team; but not on the same level as Eastside and Willamette.

This weekends predictions:

SATURDAY:
WUSC vs NEU: WUSC wins; NEU has some talented players but not enough to overcome Willamette

LO vs Eastside: Eastside wins; Eastside should be able to win easily; possible blowout

WSM vs Eugene: Eugene wins; at least they should, but i could see WSM trying to put up a fight and get a tie

OSA vs FC: OSA wins; gave of the weekend in my opinion; this should be similar to WUSC vs Eastside last weekend. Two good teams should be close. I think OSA wins by one. FC just doesn't have the offense to pull it out. Guess is a 1-0 or 2-1 score

SUNDAY:
FC vs Eastside: Eastside wins; if there is a game that Eastside could lose or tie it could be this game. FC has a good defense and if Eastside isn't clicking could be a surprise tie or win for FC

OSA vs WSM: OSA wins; don't think WSM has the defense to keep OSA from winning this game. Especially if OSA's forward is back playing.

WUSC vs Eugene: WUSC wins; Eugene did beat WUSC last year in the state cup; but have not shown anything this year. WUSC is a better team then they were last year, I guess Eugene can make the same argument, but it hasn't shown on the field yet.

NEU vs LO: TOSS up; if I have to choose; I will go with NEU; I think they have a better defense than LO and could get a win with a 1-0 score line

I think this is a game were 2 teams are even but you never know what they're gonna bring out on the field. I say tie 2-2 or maybe 3-2 EMFC

I was actually surprised about the score of the FC/OSA game. I thought FC would win the game but I did not think they would run away from the game like they did.

Wow I saw the EMFC-WUSC game and i gotta say one of the best soccer games ive seen in a long time.

Both teams played really good and it was a really intense game. Some bad ref gotta say but really good game to watch.

I was surprised at how much OSA has improved since last year.
