Holy smokes, just went through the list of campers at the ID Camp and not one Oregon girl. What up 'wit dat? just a weak year, '97-'98, or possibly the lack of national attention because OPL and general boycott of ODP?

The U.S. U-14 Girls National Team Identification Camp began on July 31 and ran through August 6 at the University of Portland. The camp featured 100 of the top young female players in the country, of which 96 are members of US Youth Soccer ODP. The majority of players called in were born in 1996 with a few born in 1997, all of which will be eligible for the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. Coach Mike Dickey and his staff evaluated the week of training and games and will select 36 players for an upcoming team camp this month at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

I am surprised that the strong Usonian did not make it through. Maybe she is too young. I think she is a 98

Ahhhh....think that was last years camp. "Ran" 'til August 6.....and it's time for the 97's. Not much chance of them going to the next U17 World cup either but I guess they would be the first year for the 2014 U17 World Cup.

WA (Crossfire, NW Nat'l, Eastside) has a large group of players beyond the Oregon talent and there is only 1 player from WA. There is no standout player in OR at this age. Reality.

According to USSoccer.com page, these girls were born 1997 -1998 and only 72 players were invited.

The only player to make it from the NW is the girl from NW Nationals and she is a '98.

                          She's a great player. Definitely doesn't look like a '98!

You need to get out of Oregon and see the rest of the youth soccer world, Dad.

I'm not her Dad. Regardless, they are good people. What's the problem with following good players? She's fun to watch on the Usonians and even when she was on Rage.
