Does anyone know which high schools on the eastside have more club players on the high school teams? Which of those schools has the stronger program this year?

What is perhaps more unusual is the play in format, where at 6a at least almost every team plays one game of post season. This is an animal which I still struggle to understand completely.

Both Gresham HS and Barlow have many club players. Barlow generally has a great roster but doesn't seem to gel as well as it should. Gresham has a fairly strong program with numerous club players. I saw them at the Westview HS Jamboree this past weekend and they looked as strong as the teams they were playing: Tualatin, WV and Sunset?? I think

Every team is in the state playoffs. Every state playoff match has the gate proceeds (more expensive than league games) go to OSAA only. Seems easy to understand why every team makes the playoffs.

Wasn't Sunset. They played WL Thursday and don't play again until Saturday vs S. Eugene.

Jesuit over Lincoln 2-0. Score does not reflect play. Very sloppy. Second score for JHS came with under 5 seconds left as the announcer was counting down, LHS looked like they were leaving the field! Ha Ha Ha!

Score does reflect the play or at least if it did, it would have been 5-0. JHS had many chances, Lincoln did not tonight. Second score was very late in game, Lincoln kick off after JHS goal was with 32 seconds left in game. Your analysis is nowhere close to the actual game. P.S.: I was there looking at both teams for future possible matches.

With a roster of 100% club players and quite a few ODP players should Jesuit EVER lose a game?

Well, what a coincidence, I was too. I will have to agree with portions of both these posts. Play was definitely sloppy. Lincoln only played a few balls to feet, everything else was a boot. Forwards rarely got the ball anywhere below the waist. IMO if they could have played the ball to feet and created a few through balls, the outcome could have been different. I've seen JHS play much better. LHS defense couldn't keep pace with JHS forwards which created several crosses but not so many actual shots. There were a few scrums in front of LHS net which should have been capitalized on, but obviously weren't. JHS keeper was suspect on a few kicks but we never got to see her actually stop a shot so I can't really post an opinion. P.S.S: We actually HAVE a game scheduled with one of these teams and frankly, with the exhibition I saw last night, neither posses the threat I was expecting to see.

But, as always, that's why we play the game! :)

Sherwood never has any competition. Let's see how they do when they play some big dogs.

Any score from Aloha v Benson, and LO v Liberty? Also just a note- why would Aloha bother playing Benson? Not a very good way to get ready for Metro league play...

I might give a little more credibility to this post. I read the VT that came out recently and saw the roster. I think they have a couple new players (or maybe they played last year and I just didn't see/recognize them) that were quite good premier level club players. They are currently 3-2 and I think I read they haven't played any strong teams yet but they just may surprise some folks. Or I may just be rooting for the underdog. Thoughts?
