Congrats OSSA

Looks like they played well yesterday. How was the game against Sodium? Was the game close or was it really a 3-0 game? If so they must be playing well, caught Sodium on a bad day or a combination of the two. Anyone that was there have some insight?

As a Sodium parent and also the blog posting clarified. Sodium has internal issues and that starts from the top down. What has not been posted about this team already and attempted to be defended. From sideline watching, OSSA was down one of their center defenders, however they out played overall. Substitution was not a factor for them because they scored on us with different line ups. Adding an ex-Ireland player isn't going to hurt either. Came down to a great second half. Hats off to OSSA, clearly the top team in Oregon this year winning NWCL, State and Surf. Bend may be good but they just didn't play state teams to have comparison and nobody ever knows who they are rostering. Looking forward to High School and U16 season in a couple more months.

I agree that OSSA is clearly the top team.

Rush needs a back up keeper in order to remain competetive. Imagine OSSA without their all star keeper or Sodium without their keeper. Rush tied the number two team in the country during the first game (this was the team that went on to win the Super Group) 0-0. Then they lost their keeper during the first few minutes of the second game and they were unable to compete at such a high level. Letting in easy goals and playing a defensive game vs the offensive game doesn't work at the highest levels.

Sounds like OSSA put the smack down on the Thusc team. 3-0 really the team that has the best defense in all of Oregon. Congrats goes out to OSSA for being able to gather good players on playing good Soccer.

We will see what next season brings but I can assure you that the Sodium team still has plenty of fire power and will be back next season.

Besides, isn't it time for there to be a new team for posters to smear? ;)

Starting your post off the way you did just made the rest even more unbelievable. Sodiums past record speaks for itself. Yes they have been struggling this year. Yes they have a lot of internal problems but if they can get their act together they will again emerge as top contender. I think you have been waiting for the day for these girls to fail. Very sad.
