Yes, in the Las Vegas College Showcase they lost 1-0, 1-0, then beat the #9 team in the nation 1-0 and then lost 1-0 to MVLA, #1 team in the nation. So if you are comparing, their goal differential for 4 games was -2. Rush just got pounded 5-0 and 3-0 for a goal differential in 2 games of -8 in 2 games.

Who's the "hell of a team" in your comparison?

And you might add the 3-0 loss came at the hands of a younger, 96G team. (RVSC 96G)

        Just say'n.

But I know this still won't sway the die hard OYSA Rush fans. They'll just try to redirect the blame anywhere else but themselves.

Only -8 for two games isn't bad...one team is -20 for two games. Rough deal because you know they are working hard but just over matched.

Knock it off. Nobody knows any particulars from the games. Rush is a great squad and can hold their own and our team has a great relationship with, and respect for, them. Many play ODP together and have a great bond. The regional tourney is a tough environment, they'll do fine.

How do you manage to turn this into a Sodium thread?

Here's a question; After looking at the website I see some teams with a differential that doesn't match the difference between GF and GA. For example a team has 1 GF & 16 GA but the differential is -8 ?? Or another is a team has 8 GF and 5 GA with a diff of 2 ??

How are they scoring this? Can anybody shed some light?

                  I didn't, I was defending a good Rush team.

Most tournaments have a maximum goals that count. So if the max is 3 goals (for differential) than any goals above that differential don't count in the record, etc.

                      Cfc

Were the CFC 14s and 16s able to bring all their players? I expected both teams to do well and they have not. That is a surprise, because those teams are good.

The 14s may have a few in jail

The "hell of a team" I was referring to is MVLA.
The girls are as disappointed as they have ever been. Were you at the games yesterday or today? The girls would not beat MVLA on their best day, and controlled the game against NM but didn't get it in. After an early own goal, they took a chance and moved players around at the end that then resulted in two late goals. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. It happened. Some weeks it clicks and some weeks it doesn't. No excuses. I've known many of the THUSC and OSAA parents and girls for a number of years, as have many of the Rush girls, and have found most to be great people. The reality is that the Rush girls will play their final game tomorrow, go to a waterpark, hang out, have fun, and move on. Goal differentials, who beat whom in other tourneys, and your desire to over analyze a group of 15 year old girls isn't going to change that.

Thanks, SodiumFan. For the life of me, I will never understand how some parents can wish ill will on a group of teenage girls. Karma is a bitch.

You know, if you are going to make a statement like this about kids, you should at least have the guts to do so under a registered name. Pretty classless if you ask me.

The u16s always managed to win State Cup although it never seems like they should. The u14s are an embarrassment behaviorally. Have shared a hotel with them at a variety of tournaments in the past.
Wow, so you must be a galaticos parent. It is disappointing not to have your team participating, they are a solid group of players.
