Girls scores
U-14 Oregon Rush (girls) won 1-0 in the first day. Other girls teams not so fortunate. Aggregate scores were 8 Oregon goals with 36 against.Comment

U19 Liverpool won. That's 3. I'm surprised the U14 Boca team lost. That's a good team. It's still too bad the better teams aren't there representing Oregon. Of course. WSM Premier is the '94 ODP team minus a player or 2. They underachieved at Regionals last year and should have won it. They are a superior team and a great example of the migration of talent to one dominating team in the older age groups. They have all the best players, they should be #1! Also, the Vipers are not bad team and made the Finals last year. 4th or 5th best? I'd put them in the top 3 with Premiers' additions this year.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

They've been dominating since they were 12. They continue to get better, but it's not anything new. I don't think VFC is as good as OSSA, FC or Eugene either so that makes them 5th. I don't think VFC entered the OPL state cup so we don't know how they would have fared. VFC is a lot closer to those other teams than it is Premier.Comment

Best player form old Southside England; Top state and national player form PCU Gunners; Top 3 players from Eastside Man U; All added to an already excellent core group. Don't know about the girls' side, but only u14, u16, and u19 boys are decent reps for the state. The u16s always managed to win State Cup although it never seems like they should. The u14s are an embarrassment behaviorally. Have shared a hotel with them at a variety of tournaments in the past.Comment

They didn't fare so well in that group. That was a poor placement that was due to their state cup run the year before. They did well in the tournament, but I think they finished 4th or 5th in the league that year. Your comment also reminded me of ManU. Isn't the team it was, but it's still as good as VFC. I think the fact VFC didn't compete in the OPL state cup is telling. Anyway, I didn't make my initial comment to pick on VFC. It's just that I think there are a number of U17 teams that are better and it's too bad that the best teams aren't representing Oregon at regionals.
