This is the last you will hear from OSSA parent needing to discuss results. We will never come on this or any board opening a thread about "how great" our club is or putting down another club. We learned from THUSC parents how NOT to act. Glad Ireland was never your club, if they acted like you, we would not want them.

    Enjoy your summer.
I would hardly call OSSA new.. It is just the name gimme a break

      Lets Be Honest

OSSA is a combination of the following clubs

LO - Good girls side - mediocre boys side
SSC- Non existent girls teams U15 and above some mediocre boys
WUSC- Non existent teams u15 and above
OSA- non existent teams u15 and above

Combining 4 clubs that have at best a good girls program and mediocre boys does not make a great club no matter what you name it.

Results for state cup fairly represents the clubs involved

Beware of the OUSA model. As some previously said same people that ran OUSA are now in charge of OSSA. BTW OUSA failed.

The reason OSSA is being formed is to improve the opportunities for players after U14 in all the clubs. This was especially true for OSA and WUSC I think. OSSA seems to be doing pretty well so far (did well in the NWCL, less so in the State Cup).

Also, I'd say that the upcoming U15 girls and U16 boys will be very very competitive. I am having difficulty understanding all your negativity about a group of clubs trying to do better by their member/players.

OUSA was a total disaster. Fallout from that failed experiment really hurt the growth of youth soccer in Corvallis. It was a bonehead idea from the beginning and I'd hate to see that happen to anyone in Oregon.

It seems in the OSSA expansion/consolidation the distances are not so great, so maybe it will work. We'll see.

If the soccer product in the HS ages at OSSA improves from a coaching standpoint then i am fully behind it. There are too many clubs with not enough quality coaches throughout and kids/players suffer as a result.

Looking at it from an out of state perspective it seems to make sense to create stronger HS age teams to compete and be recruited at Surf, Vegas and other showcases.

So who is the director of coaching or in charge of ossa? Is it not the same person that was in charge of OUSA?

I believe he is the same person, but perhaps he has learned from the OUSA experience and will be more successful this time. I hope so.
