Yeah there are a few '97 girls teams that are fairly competitve matches at a local level but there is only one that can compete in places like NWCL or Surf and that team is short just one or two players from having a real shot at winning there. Word has it one of these is coming from LO. Sorry Skipper.

I'm wondering why players leave their hometown team for greener pastures? Everyone has their reason, but LO is getting a new coach.

1. Coach
2. Parents on team
3. style of play
4. Where player is played
5. Champions League
6. bad match results
7. wants winning team
8. wants to be a star on a different team

Coaches at this age group

I'm impressed by the coaching staff of many of the teams at this age group. Thusc, wsm, fc Portland and now losc are all GREAT options for player development. I'm surprised more girls aren't crossing the river since the coaching of this age group is definitely lacking across the river IMHO.

As a westside parent, I am obviously biased, but I too am also very impressed with the amount of development and talent for this age level. I'm glad to be a part of it all. All the comments in the forum make for a good laugh as well (bonus)

Funny thing is that Westside is never given credit for developing players. This team is impressive and proves other wrong. Cony did a great job in developing these players along with the other Westside coaches. A great bunch of girls and very talented. Keep up the good work and and don't let the adults keep you from enjoying the game.

I have confirmed that WSM is having an open kick-around for U14 Girls at 7:30 Monday on THRC field #2.
