Why does the OSSA blue team note get the credit deserved?...they have done great have one loss which the goalie was gone and currently in first with only two games left.

I would say they have received credit. They have improved. The final two games however are brutal. Playing easily the two best. I personally think Ireland is loaded with excellent talent and will again prove to be the cream of the crop. OSSA shouldn't be looking for credit but rather consistent play at the higher levels. I still think FC PDX is laying low looking for one more shot at the champ which they could win.

Credit to OSSA! There is a reason they are currently sitting atop the rankings. They have won some big games (including a 3-0 win over Ireland) and account for Possession's only loss. Their GK is first-class- probably best in the league which includes 2 other exceptional '95 ODP GKs. Yes, they have some big games coming up, but they have shown that they can win. (And I am a Possession fan!)

I am not sure Ireland are in very good shape at this point. They had 12 players this past weekend. I have heard they have several long term injuries to starters. I guess we will see in the next few weeks where they really at....

They had a couple very solid players. Looks like they share
one of irelands GKs too.

Yes they do share a GK as Sapphire's GK had an ACL injury back last Fall i believe. For State Cup though i am pretty sure there is a roster freeze. Does that not prevent player sharing between teams?

How Ireland continues to think they are the best despite scoring
only 7 goals all season (4 of which I believe were in
one game against the lowest ranked team) and having 2 losses.
Go OSSA!
Ireland will be considered the "best" until they are not state champs. The winter league does not mean anything. Teams are working on formations and personnel. We even missed a game or two for vacations.

I agree with this comment about Ireland. Looking at the 4 contenders....Possession has done a good job regrouping but was the only contender to meet each of the two bottom teams twice (resulting in 9 of their 14 goals). With that in mind, it's hard to see them as strong as FC, OSSA and Ireland. With FC's solid winter league play, they are clearly the next favorite to earn a finals spot. However, the standout play in the last few months has been from OSSA. They do deserve some credit. Rumor has it, the players love their coach and are blending as a team. Even though they don't have a roster full of ODP girls, I definitely see them as a 3rd contender. If their few injured starters return in time, they have the potential to end up in the finals. As I'm personally a Sunderland fan, I also see them in the state cup mix...potentially semi-finals? Given everything I actually see Sunderland as 4th right now, over Possession in 5th.
