State Cup could be anyones ballgame.
Rush is always at a disadvantage. Having to travel does not make it easy on our girls, especially when we have an 8 am game. Everyone plays better when they have slept in their own bed. It's not an excuse because you have to come to play but I do wish the playing field was more even.

I have to agree with the other poster about Onyx. I doubt the State Cup is anyones ballgame.

Me thinks they might be a team to look out for next year?

Which one? Both have been scary for a year or two.

I would assume FC. I think FC and Gallium are the two most improved teams from the Fall league. I know that in Spring not everyone plays the same teams but both have much, much better records.

Completely agree! FC went from 8th to possibly 2nd and Gallium went from 12th to 6th. Great job to both of those teams. I'm thinking it might be an Onyx/FC final for State Cup.

FC's fall record was deceiving. Lost alot of close games. Always felt they were in top 4 of the league along with Onyx, Sherwood and LO.

Agreed. Great job girls! Gallium going from 12th to 6th is great!

FC and Gallium are both greatly improved. I would actually put FC in 2nd place since they had the harder schedule. They had to play 3 top teams (Onyx, Nemesis, LO) while Sherwood and LO only had to play 2 each. I believe Onyx is the only team that had to play all of the top teams.

Can't accurately place anyone until everyone has played each other...Spring standings don't mean too much. Fall league is what matters...as to whether or not FC & Gallium has improved, i would agree that they have definitely improved.

I was at that game watching but do not have a kid on either team. My daughter was practicing at the field right next to them. I have to say that I have never seen a game where one team dominated it so much but never scored. It was obvious that FCSC was playing to tie from the opening whistle. They had that box packed in with 10 players at all times. Onyx got off plenty of shots and hit the cross bar 4 times. One of the shots in the second half actually hit the inside of the cross bar and went in and both sides froze. The ref didn't blow the whistle and it was eventually cleared.

It was an amusing game to watch as one of the coaches is quite vocal and at the final whistle you would of thought FCSC won the game by the loud cheering. I was a bit shocked by parents who were so happy to tie. Both teams played very hard and physical but I would say possession was 80/20 in favor of Onyx.

State Cup is always anyone's game!

Some parents - me included - are quite happy at the final whistle, even with some losses. I think it's a matter of perspective and priorities. Winning Spring League matches wasn't a huge objective for all teams. That said, I believe most U-12G teams and their parents would be pretty excited to draw with Onyx, regardless of the circumstances.
