It took onyx the better part of the first half to score their first goal. No doubt that au's u11 players were over matched by the onyx players they are fast and skilled. Au played hard with the team they had and did not back down from a strong onyx team. Two odp players do not make at team. Would AU have won this game with a full roster? It is unlikely, but I wouldn't judge either side based on this game.

Onyx is (right now) the team to beat, stronger, faster and more skilled than all the teams in this age group. They are clearly dedicated to the sport and it shows.
Onyx was missing 2 starters and also has 2 U11's on their team. Their starting forward was taken out many times by the big AU defender with no foul called. I would say falling on top of a player multiple times would mean it's a foul. AU could of had a full roster and the game would not have changed. The only reason Onyx didn't score right off the bat is because they missed their shots. It wasn't from a lack of shots. AU gave up after half time. The centers had their choice of who they wanted to pass to as everyone was open.

I like the AU team and I hope they improve as I would like to see the entire U12 group improve but AU needs to work on skill. Right now all they have is size. That's the only reason the 3 AU girls made it over any of the Onyx girls at ODP.

Didn't Onyx beat them 8-0 in the fall when AU had their full roster?

No, one of the AU players that made the ODP team would make any team in the state, not just because of size. One of AU's best players didn't even try out for ODP because she plays competitive basketball, and starts at point guard.

You THUSC parents deserve the idiotic reputation you have.

That's what I love about this forum, any person can come on here and state their opinion and anyone else can come on here and childishly call them names. All under the unregistered safeguard.

                That's a first-FC beating THUSC, right?
Congrats FC Portland! THUSC has always been such a tough opponent. Great game for both teams.
