Ya we know some and don't understand why they were invited.

Same with our club. Our DOC said that each DOC recommends players and then they will be evaluated. It seems as if some DOC's were recommending players just to recommend them, not because they thought they had National team potential.

The list of who made it to the mobile training center is pretty broad (at least at our club). Some are talented players with a good chance and others are not. From what I was told there will be cuts made in order to get the best of the best.

Hopefully this won't ruin the chances of the Mobile Training Center coming back next year. The DOC's should only be recommending their very top talent, even if that means they recommend no one.

I also agree that certain clubs recommended kids just to make their own club list look better.

I am not sure how many kids made it from each club? I know at THUSC there were 5 which doesn't seem excessive. What kind of numbers are you seeing out there at other clubs?

And is it possible that the decision makers who do the scouting might be biased to choose players from their clubs. Then they can sell to everyone that they had the highest % of players chosen, or something like that...

Because maybe someone else sees something you don't.

I only saw him play a few times this year and he never is the best on field. I wouldn't put anyone from the team to the training. They are decent team but no standout. Other player I can really say isn't the national player type on his team. His dad wants it for him bad.

I don't know if a list has been posted that lists everyone that has been invited. Our DOC sent the list to notify the players selected just at our club, so that was just five players total.

I know that one of the DOC's said they will take a bunch of extra kids and then make cuts just to please the DOC's. It's not much of an honor to get nominated by your DOC when they seem to be nominating a lot. It won't be much to be proud of unless you make the cuts.

5 players from the '98 and '97 pool is excessive to be from THUSC. This is for National team recognition and I can't see 5 players from those two age groups who qualify for that. Maybe if it was 5 players out of the entire club but not for 2 age groups.

I truely hope none of those 5 were boys because that would just be ridiculous.

It for kids that show potential that's it. They get extra work and see what developes from it. It's not saying they are National level right now!! It's the same as ODP for most nothing will come of it but maybe one or two move forward. It a great free opportunity for those selected and thats it.

No there are not any boys. I don't think it is excessive. This is the first month and after evaluation during the training they may or may not be invited back. Most are ODP players and the two that aren't are '98s and that is the youngest age group this year, so we will see. They can also invite different players in the coming months, this is not a set group. So why would DOC's not want their players to take advantage of it and give kids with potential an opportunity? I don't understand why everyone gets so pissy, isn't it "for the kids?" Sometimes you wouldn't know it here!

Has anyone seen any totals? There are to be 20 to 30 total, but it sounds like some on here are assuming that there are more than that? Does anyone know how many kids are from their home clubs besides THUSC?
