To all the crap talkers out there..........

Instead of spending your time here complaining that all the other teams are weak, get out and kick the ball with your player or get them some skill training.

If you can't live with that, call the best teams club up and see if they will take a look at your player for a possible position.......if that's what will make YOU happiest.

        SSC vs WSM

SSC is a good lil Team who played fairly well today. WSM tried several different formations and did not get a there usual rhythm going. WSM dominated the last 25 after SSC had their usual kick and run score. The SSC goalie made several good stops to prevent WSM tying the score.

I believe once WSM gets used to there new player they will make all of the adjustments needed to win the OPL. SSC should come in second as the schedule favors their club with so many home games on their new turf.

WSM controlled 60% of the first half, but just couldn't get close enough to the goal. SS was closest to score with a shot that hit the upright. WSM new gal (ex rage) player had one good shot, but was too far away to be effective.

The 2nd half was all SS. They controlled the play and the clock. Their only score came by way of a text book pass from the yellow shoed midfielder to their big center. The entire team moved at once and had several opportunities had the centers shot been taken away. WSM had several shots, but the SS goalie was there every time to stop em.

With SS missing some long term players lately sure didn't show an actual weakness in any one position consistently.

This is making for a great showdown.
I'm not affiliated with either club but have a daughter on another U13 team and was there to see this match. I do think every person is entitled to their opinion because we live in a great nation so with that said I'm not so certain the 2nd half was all SS. In fact I saw each squad having some good looks, SS just converted one of their chances and it was a nice finish with a shot over the keepers head.

One thing I did notice is there were some good individual players on the pitch. I have not seen one of the players for WSM before but she was a joy to watch, especially at this age. She was very skilled in the middle and poised with the ball making great decisions. The girl from the Rage is a very good player with size and speed. SS forward is very fast and is relentless on the attack and they also have a smaller mid-fielder that had some nice skill.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the next match goes and hope I can make it.

Nothing but excuses.Crush is the team to beat.
The Rage player should be playing at the top.

Saw the game. Very evenly matched. I don't think I would call the SSC goal a "kick and run score".....it was a good connection of 3 or 4 passes, with a nice lefty finish over the keepers head. WSM had some decent opportunities, but the SSC defense is tough to penetrate. The two center-backs play very well together. The shots that WSM did get were from distance and never really threatened to score. Their only real chance was on a free kick that was dropped by the keeper. SSC also only had a few chances to score as well. Hit the post from close early in the game, but not much else. As mentioned previously, the goal that was scored was very good.

Also, not sure the the game location really matters at this age, but it's a nice excuse for WSM to use.

                  Onyx 6
                  Gallium 0

Onyx starters only played about half the game and actually 5 of them didn't even start. Gallium played tough and never gave up.

Good job rage. Realizing now that losing those two recent players only opened up more opportunity for the rest of the team to shine.

Thats what happens when you have two very over bearing parents controlling the coach's/team's decisions. Once they are gone and he can run the team the way he wants, he finds out that what he needed was there all along.

                              Great Job Rage.

Enjoying their humble pie ? Last I heard, they were gonna take down everyone in their way by 3-4 points. Someone musta forgot to tell the coach and players this "parent claimed" fact.

Congrats to Crush. Probably why they were undefeated last year in the OPL and this year is looking pretty good so far.
