    OYSA the same

Guest Club Players are allowed to play on any team within their club (OYSA Guideline)

Not sure what the above poster was getting at. Both OPL and OYSA allow players to play on teams within the same club.

I believe you can go with another club on a pass, but not on a roster spot. You can transfer roster spots in the same club as much as you want. This is my understanding.

Rage lost quite a few players as well. I think 2 of them went to the Usonians so I wouldn't give them the edge. I agree about THUSC though. They should get better as the season goes on.

Guess we will all get to see this weekend Rage and Usonians play on Saturday!

"Well, it sounds like a Team will be able to bring players up from there Second squad. I am not sure how this would effect anything. Are players able to be rostered on more than one Club at a time? "

I'm thinking that a team will be able to bring players DOWN who are on their +1 age teams, for a specfic game. They would do this just to avoid getting their behinds tarnished against long standing adversaries. For example, what would stop NEU from stacking the deck on their game against rival WSM?

Knowing this board, I surprised there hasn't been a long discussion about this "loophole" in OPL.

I think the clubs are well aware of the rule and like it because it gives them so much more flexibility.

                1. WSM Usonians
                2. FC PDX Navy
                3. TM Rage
                4. LO ICE
                5. SSC Crush
                6. THUSC Iridium
                7. Pacific Fire
                8. ESUFC Valencia
                7.

This is not my list, I am just copying it here. I am curious what people think about this. This is U13 girls If you look at the 2 lists given on this thread of the ranking (opinions) the teams in the NWCL are not really the top ranked teams anymore (in this age group). It could be that with all the changes there was more movement than there normally is, but what will happen with this? Will Washington teams find these games worth their while if they crish Valencia (not saying they will just looking at this particular ranking). Any thoughts on this?

I agree with this post regarding SS. I just dont see it for them this year, but maybe they have some kids that can really step up and do a great job. I think the team to watch here is Rage. I give them the edge over Usonians, but I guess we will see this weekend. And don't count out THUSC. They did not compete that bad thi summer with 9 new players. Look for them to iron out the kinks.

Ditto about SSC. Don't agree with you on Rage. They tied Valencia on nwcl game and read they lost two players, one of them was a key player. FC looked good in summer games. LO lost it for summer probably worked things out by fall. THUSC new players gelling with team now. Anything goes, but Usonians will be on top.

I thought OYSA had a frozen roster. Or maybe I'm confusing this with State cup roster freezing.

I think this is what Washington State does--frozen roster.

                    Anyone know the answers?

The teams in the NWCL are the same as all the teams listed here with the exception of FC Portland.

NEU Roma and NEU Inter have both already done that for a few tournaments. Barca still beat them with the exception of the last tourney where they tied. Barca didn't have their full squad or their coach there though and played the entire tournament poorly.

Ok sort of Eastside and THUSC are now at the bottom. That kind of misses the point, but I think I did not explain it well. Another example is WSM girls U12 did OK last year and now are really struggling. They will not compete well in this league at all. My point is should there be a reevaluation ? Is there anyway to do this? Maybe not, but how motivated will Washington teams be to continue this league if we send teams that cannot compete?

This is a real challenge. It becomes harder in a system where teams are bracketed by past results, and the strength of their DOC's opinion. I am not suggesting qualifiers are the perfect answer, but at least they require all but the best teams to reprove themselves.

I agree. Remember though this is something new and it will take time to work out the kinks.
