8 games into the season, and the losing teams have been outscored 34 - 2. I am sorry, but that is not what I call good competition.

Now let's think about this for a moment. You've got a coach that takes over a semi successful team from the last two years. They practice and train, then play in tourneys over the summer. Winning or doing well playing at the same level as years past. While those GOOD coaches build upon their roster. Now those that don't, won't tell their DOC that aren't doing well and probably do any better, so they "push" the team and support the clubs reputation. They tell the parents "we played well this weekend, but have some more to do".
Nobody wants to admit they're not doing as well as the past, especially a club or head of an OPL club.

Oysa
Now let's think about this for a moment.
Somebody from the OYSA board which is going down the tubes finds anything and everything to complain about the OPL on these blogs. From scores not being posted within an hour after the matches are completed to OH MY!!!, lopsided scores, there have been and will be lopsided scores long after these blogs disappear. There are no perfect leagues where every match is decided by one goal. DUH!!!
The above post even includes things like nefarious coaches over selling there teams to make their club look better. Like getting beat by big scores will bring their club more players....I'm not getting that strategy at all. I give parents a lot more credit than that!
I get to a lot of soccer matches and I am just not hearing the OPL hate the above poster is trying to instill. I wonder if this poster has a player in the OPL and decided not to put her on an OYSA squad, explain that.

I will be accused
Now I will be accused of being an official with OYSA, or something like that. Anyone who knows me, and there are a few out there, knows I am just a parent of two boys who play soccer, I have no official connection anywhere. To claim I must be an official because I can put 2+2 together makes me question are all the unregistered OPL posters officials? Hmm that might make some sense of their defensiveness etc...

Shut Up
Will you people stop the moaning and complaining about the OYSA OPL thing? It's done. Time will show how it plays out and there's nothing you can do about it. Unless you have a personal stake in one organization or the other why do you care? Neither is perfect and as far as the kids are concerned, little has changed.
Just let the kids play soccer and quit $#@*&ing.

Let's be real here, OPL's reason for being ( at least the one expressed publicly) was to create better competition, and to do things in a better more efficient way. Judging by the comments I've seen on some other topics, it is questionable if they are more efficient, that leaves the competitiveness, if we look at the same 8 games in the OYSA u14b premier group the winners outscored the losers 29-9
