Anyone know what happened to the OPL Oregon Cup?

It typically takes place the middle of November. Have you contacted the OPL yet ?

Due to the added matches from NWCL it would be a guess that there will be no OPL Cup. Between OPL and the NWCL most teams have around 20 matches on their schedules for this fall and early winter.

OPL Oregon Cup

It is nowhere to be found on their website. Those early November dates are scheduled for the OPL Directors Cup. A friend said they thought this was maybe a rec tournament.

Seemed as though Oregon Cup was well attended thought it would have been a $$ maker for OPL.....

The Director's Cup is for the U11 teams and the lower level teams. Teams participating in the Premier Divisions will not be allowed to participate. The OPL will be holding a "State Cup" style tournament for those teams but it will be at a later date.

The OPL State Cup will run from April 2nd - May 7th, 2011.

OYSA has the Presiden't cup in November for lower brackets, and State cup for premiere in April/May. Likewise, now OPL has the Director's cup in November and the State cup in the spring. Teams do one or the other unless something has changed.

I thought that OPL Directors Cup in November, which replaces OPL Cup, was for all teams not in the NWCL.

And OPL State Cup was for any teams.

If a team wins the OYSA state cup they go to USYS regionals, what if they win OPL state cup? They go to US club soccer regionals? Oh wait that is general admission isn't it? So what is the next step after OPL state cup...Anything?

What if!!

So if you win the OYSA State Cup will there be a astrik by the winners name? I can only think of a couple teams that if they won would really be state champions. All the rest are not even close to being the best team in the state.

I agree. Especially on the girls side there are none of the top teams in the State left with OYSA. The teams that win the OYSA State Cup on the girls side will get destroyed at Regionals. The only exception being OR Rush at U17.
