But as far as the team keeping in the loop is BS. The parents have to go around asking questions on who, when and where the player came from during these practices. This 19th player even came on board during state cup run while she was playing on her team too. She was even seen wearing her united gear at the finals. How is that for a quit the team statement? It is too bad that coach seems to rack up the better players from other teams than to just develop the one's he has already. Typical DOC fashion. I would imagine the bottom players will get hacked and replaced. It doesn't take a genius to do the math Sodium parents. You have 19 already, then take all the other how ever many that are coming over for try out's, you take the bottom and begin hacking those away to fill in for the super star newbies. Then ask yourself once the roster is set for the new season who is on the bottom now?

SF, don't get torked over this now. I can't help it if I lend an ear to your complainers on your team. I can't help it if they chose not to stand up and tell you what they really think of you and your website and some other of your parents or even on this topic. I get it though, why complain and show yourself when your kid is sitting on the bench? That is a for sure out on the team. Maybe somewhere along the way those parents drank the koolaid. I wonder what they will think of your team or your coach when they get that call after try out's?
Ha Ha Ha Ha! This is laughable. Every team has parents who are happy and parents who are not. If you choose to "lend an ear to our complainers" than that is your choice. Too bad you miss the big picture then.

As for us, we'll keep putting the best team we can on the field, period.

Sounds like your daughter lost some playing time? Maybe she was passed by by others who are better? Ever think of that? I know she could do no wrong in your eyes (just by reading this post). Every team has parents who get upset with playing time, it happens all the time. But to attack this poster (SF) and act like you "Know it all" is ridiculous. Sounds like you might be getting an earful from a disgruntled parent. Just to let you know, the entire team was told about the new "19th" player and knew she was joining well before State Cup. As a matter of fact they wanted to join well before that even. So your statement; "But as far as the team keeping in the loop is BS." is actually the thing that is, well, BS.

Spewing angry emotion about a subject you know very little about on a public forum only makes you look bad. FYI

Seems to me the question was answered by the simple mathematics and that yes indeed it would be assumed that Sodium players would get bumped. Seemed pretty simple to me when I read it.

Like mentioned in previous post I don't think or believe that sodium has a super stud or a go to player. Simple answer is if they are a true stud they will probably get quite a bit of play time. A person also must remember a player can be a super stud on one team and be one of the best players on the next team. That is not any sort of put down on any ones daughter.

            QUOTE]

I actually do think that Sodium has what I would deem super studs. And, I have not seen any subbing of these players. I know them very well as my daughter plays with them in ODP. Either way, it is an impressive roster!!!!

Sounds like I hit a nerve. I am only asking out of curiousity. Also, because we have been invited to attend practices. LOL

Arent u14 Thusc State Champs? Of course they will have lots of players wanting to go play with the best. As long as all players are given fair tryouts in August then it's "best 18 girls make the squad" isn't it?

That post a little bit ago about Southside and Lake Oswego combining (if in fact true- I couldn't find anything online to support it) is indeed intriguing. I wonder if some of the Southside girls currently shopping themselves around will reconsider.

If you join the best (Thusc) you better be ready to assume fewer minutes since that team is stacked!

My sons team did this 2 years ago they added more players to roster for summer play. Some of parents got up in arms about it, they paid there share of dues and fees. My wife and I just felt the coach knew what he was doing. That summer even with guest players we played in tournament and only had 11 to 13 total players at them. The moral of the story is in most cases families have vacations, family reunions and other things in life then just playing soccer. Funny thing was those parents who pissed and moaned the most about guest players and new team members were the same ones who's kids did not make it to the touramnents. Coaches know what going on, us parents just think we are smarter then the are.

You guys are idiots funny idiots to be exact

Sodium is crap and nothin but, crap. Watched them play Sherwood and barely won hahaha. The parents are backstabbers. The coach is not a coach he is a recruiter of other peoples talent and work. Is that bad? some say yes, others say no. Either way does not matter neither here nor there. The blog guy is an idiot and very one sided. Anyone who has seen them play and then read "the blog" can do nothing but laugh at the jaded ness going on. The sad thing in all of this is none of you know what good soccer is all about. Pack and chuck....pack and chuck...the crowd goes wild!!!!!! You people are a joke

Whether you like the Sodium style of soccer or not, they certainly are effective. I do agree that the coach is very good at recruiting talent from other clubs and teams. Is that bad? No, if you are the team getting the player (unless your daughter goes away) and yes if you are the team losing the playing. Personally, if my daugther were an average good player then I would be a little worried. On the other hand, if my daughter were a super stud then I would say bring it on.

At the end of the day it is what it is.

YOU for most idiotic post of the day. Bitter bitter bitter. First the OPL excludes you and your daughter/wifes team because your club can't provide inside toilets or at least portapotties you are not currently living in and fields that aren't littered with your cars and tent village. Then you attack Sodium because their girls bathe and have teeth and are not walking nit and flea colonies. Next the blog guy gets your blast because he apparently can read and type. Finally, "pack and chuck"? What does this even mean?

                                RE: Sodium and super studs
Who knows what you meant by "super-stud" but I would guess that most people would think of offensive players when using that term. To me, Sodium is all about the defense - it's obvious really when looking at the last year of play - few goals allowed, but also not a lot of goals made (RVSC doesn't count!). By the way, I'm not bashing - I don't have any problems with sodium recruiting or whatever (get a life to the ridiculous sodium bashers that post here).

I predict that the player coming to Sodium from Hotspur will make a huge difference for their offense meaning they'll be even tougher to beat next year.
