Doesn't matter what your income level is. If you're not in the 1% then most likely all of your expenses keep going up but your income is not at the same pace. Insurance, utilities, cars, certainly the cost of college all rising faster than average incomes.

Don't get me started on car insurance with a teenage driver. It all adds up!

Kids cost you much more as they get older - clothes, car insurance (omg if you have a teenage boy or two, holy sh*t), electronics, activities. Those costs go up much faster than the typical salary increases.

How about taking responsibility for your poor life choices which PUT you in the 5 figure earning bracket and stop hating on people who have made it to 6 figure incomes? Pointing the finger and accusing 6 figure earners of "crying" while you bawl your eyes out and stomp your feet because your skill set only allows you 5 figure income. Weak.
BTW, I need you to get over here and finish power washing my driveway today. Thx.
