The FSPL Division 2 is for really weak clubs, it sort of took the luster off the prestige of the league

It would have been great to have strong Regional leagues ( like the best FSPL and NPL teams to play) to reduce travel. Then Region finalists could play each other. The region areas are now watered down and traveling the state every weekend to play good teams is not ideal.

I KNOW that there are unseeded teams that deserve a shot and have proven themselves by getting to the Round of 16. I KNOW that some seeded teams are OVER RATED and they got knocked out in Round 2.
The OP was the one who was whining, saying that it wasn't a "true competition" unless everyone played an equal number of games. With the 1 game/day requirement it was the only way to feasibly fit the tournament in. Either it works the way it did this year, OR (PLEASE NOTE THAT I DON'T THINK THINK THIS IS A GOOD OPTION) you have to restrict entry to 32 teams per age to placate the "everyone should play an equal number of games" crybaby.

Looking at both they usually have the same as any league. A handful of really strong teams that rip the rest and a handful of bad teams that take a beat down from the team in the middle. I see those 5-0 games in both leagues. We played in both this year and this year NPL was stronger for our age. Looking at this years round of 16, if they are coming, FSPL could match it or be better. I am just not a fan of FYSA and how they run things. Very half butt. Ideas are good, but never fully complete the original plans and seems to be for the worst.
In NPL a team can be no better than a rec team but plays NPL because there is no qualifying necessary. If your club is in, you are in. Congrats but not exactly an across the board guarantee of competitive games.

How do the Purple parents feel about this? I bet the ECNL girls played full games.

There are also plenty of League 1 teams that were placed there politically - ie. they didn't finish in the sweet 16 of SC the prior year but yet we see those refugees doing very well in league 1. Based on your elitist opinion those teams should be terrible.
Personally I'd love to see relegation in FSPL. No matter how well you do in SC if you crapped the bed league play, you go down to league 2.

between both the boys and girls side i see maybe 4 or 5 total former USA league clubs in league 2 and one of those looks like it has advanced to SC round of 16.

Varying reasons for this such as easing one of the hurt ECNL girls back into the game or filling in when we have girls hurt ourselves. We also get the opportunity to play up with ECNL to gain experience when they need help. You want to cause grief where non exists. Maybe you should fix your clubs and teams first, before you worry about ours.
