Hell some of the coaches I've seen over the years could have you kid 24/7 and there still wouldn't be any development. Just my two sense..
"...Years ago, in a motivational seminar by the master, Zig Ziglar, I heard a story about how mediocrity will sneak up on you. The story goes that if you drop a frog into boiling water, it will sense the pain and immediately jump out. However, if you put a frog in room-temperature water, it will swim around happily and as you gradually turn the water up to boiling, the frog will not sense the change. The frog is lured to its death by gradual change. Our players can lose their touch, vision and speed of play, gradually, one day at a time. Do you really think anyone believes anything you post?

My U17 kid practices 3 nights a week, 4th training is optional although we are fortunate that most of our team's players show up for the 4th practice. To be fair we will be missing some practices due to HS practices however it is still mandatory that we attend 2 practices a week. As another poster stated, it will be interesting to see how the OCYS teams perform in state cup. Has to make you wonder if the club is looking at eventually only having the DA and no youth club or just rec club for youth teams.
I will go ahead and call BS on this one if no body else will. There is no way that with HS playing 2 and 3 times a week and practices on the off days that your club coach is making your child also practice 2 times a week with him. If he is then he is an idiot and so are you for taking him or her. If you are, then some one should investigate you for child abuse or neglect one or the other.

Explain again how eating frogs will distroy your vision. I think eating frogs is a bad idea and any coach that requires the kids to eat boiled frogs is crazy.

OCYS has no interest in a girls soccer program nor does OCS.

Ha never noticed but went on the web site and the 6 main stories all but one have a pic of boys. No stories about the almighty ECNL, maybe because they have been so bad in the past it is hard to break old habits. Maybe OC should be the mail club and FKK the female clubs of choices for central Florida.

Ecnl is changing that mind set this year, OC is improved and winning and that's what everyone judges, right.

They are winning thanks to FCA so don't kid yourself thinking it's due to OCYS "developing". They only "developed" how to recycle full teams.

Why was FCA so weak last year across all age groups, no rankings higher then 5 or 6 state wide. Seems impossible with the comment you make.

Sorry my mistake here are last years rankings that moved up a year at FCA

                              13's now 14's = 19th
                              14's now 15's = 5th
                              15's now 16's = 16th
                              16's now 17's = 9th
                              17's now 18's = 18th

Those are state rankings not National rankings

you show you don't know what you are talking about, because these are current rankings and not what they would have looked like last year, and also you are a year off. The current U14s show a ranking of 5. Just look at the 14s numbers that don't exist any more, they are gaining any new points and are losing points as a year goes by. So of course their ranking is going to fall.
