My kid is in "pre-select" at one of the big local clubs, I'd rather not say which, but supposed to be the best training in Central Florida. He only trains 2x per week. From what I'm reading here, other clubs are training 3x per week at his age. Is this correct? Am I getting screwed by this club telling me "pre-select" is the best?

No I am not with FKK. I have nothing against FKK or OCYS.
I have a goal: EQUAL or lots of TRAINING OPPORTUNITY for all kids wanting to practice soccer!
When my kids grew up, this was denied by the CF politics ! It is too late for us now!!
I want our community kids not be deprived of opportunities just because of some other NUT CASE COACH OPINIONATED decisions!!! They are over doing it now more than before because of money power and political reach.
We have a way to deal with this with your own weapons, just turning the direction. You lie to us, we will lie 3 times more. You cheat us, we wipe you out.
Be good to us, WE WILL DIE FOR YOU!!!- this is what a nut case looks like- RUCKUS
Go USA! Go OC!! Go LIONS!!!

If you are paying for a service and your neighbours pay the same fee for that service, then provide that equal service value to all.
If the service is free, then do what you want.
For the age 8 group, can any person decisively separate elite vs rec players ?

Every now and then people quote SA or Europe.
Reality is: they have very few high level academies and rest are clubs. They do not charge high FEES.
Their fee structure is similar to our football programs.
Mostly every CLUB has 4 days training to ALL of their competetive players, it is not limited to academies. They do not seperate/bias 9-12 boys only special treatment.
One difference there is, their girls do not have as much participation like you see here in USA.
Rec level has 2 days training and there are options for teams without coaches, just free play.

What does this mean? Netherlands and Spain are soccer academies????

I don't get what you mean by equal? Most kids have equal chance to be trained. There are parents and players who seek extra opportunities for their kids to become more successful whether it be private training or soccer camps. Work harder get better….its that simple
