The problem is clubs and teams have always gone with no method to their maddness! Train as much as your coach can train you or whatever to win a game, but never a real schedule or standard as you put it to go by. Well what I have read there should be so many practices to so many games at certain ages. Instead of following some arbitrary fysa thing you should look At what is best for an age group and do that per a sports physians recommendation.

It doesn't matter how they got bad. The fact is they are in sub par condition. The question is, how & when can they be fixed? I'm an OCYS parent. I do not care how it went wrong. We need to stop making excuses and figure out a fix. The fields were getting worse before the rains. The rational was that there were no srpinklers. Now the rational is, there is too much water...Those fields are used 7 days per week approximately 8 months per year. There needs to be a better groundskeeping plan. This is not about OCYS failure. It's about an opprotunity to improve on something.

Glad to hear from a parent on this topic. What did the OCYS administration tell you the plan was to address the issue?

They didn't. I don't expect them to. I expect it to be resolved. If the fields are not fixed or in better condition by the time it's time to choose a club again, I will take that into consideration before I drop another 1,800.. There isn't much I can do about it now. I am not going to pull my daughter this season for that reason. There are a lot of good things at OCYS. They have righted many wrongs. I believe this will get done too.

In regards to Kaka. He is getting way overpaid. I think he should probably only get about half that much. If MLS isn't careful they are going to do exactly what the NASL did. Paid too much money for "over the hill" foreigners. Kaka isn't over the hill yet, but he's had his fair share of injuries over the last several years and he isn't playing very well in Brazil right now.
I agree MLS needs to be careful. I've heard rumors about 3-4 MLS franchises that may go under. Chives in LA is about to close their doors. What about the Columbus Crew? Houston is in a mess and The most recent news posted today on Pro soccer talks. The New York Red-bull owner is selling his team due to the lack of profitability.

Giving an older player like Kaka that type of money comes with expectations.

And to think we could have saved tons of money and kept Chinny.

OCYS is totally out of line with US Club soccer requirements. Who is responsible?

Are you asking Talking-soccer or will you ask OCYS?

Unless you're going to play in Deltona, is there another local club you could go to for better fields?

OC has full-time employees sitting in front of the computer reading TS. Asking TS is actually a direct question to OC.

yo dude, we live far away so coming more than 2 x week to terrible practices is pointless. my kid says he learns more about the game by playing fifa than from his coach!

How will you know if you are getting a response from OCYS instead of someone from another club who is just making something up, or someone who is just guessing at the answers?

Do you assume that every answer to a question about OCYS on this forum comes directly from the club?

They are not going to fix them, they are not able to fix them, there is no money to fix them, that is obvious. It is not just that they may be over used, it is obvious that they are not killing weeds and taking care of bug issues. When there is no grass in the corner by the flag that is not over use. I am certainly no expert but it seems that something is eating them up or something else is killing the grass. It is to bad, OC put a lot of money into them when they took over, now they are going back to what they looked like at the end of the FSA days. It seems now that OC has told OCYS they are on their own, they aren't able to take care of them. I wonder what they will look like when ECNL rolls into town for the showcase in December. I don't think that there is enough time to get them in shape by then. again too bad.

OK then, we will come to the office and let us discuss.
Prior to that, we need to get some assurances. As a sign of peace and sign to come to the office, we ask DOC or any other bald head in charge to paint their head to look like a soccer ball. That will indicate a peace sign for us. Waiting.
