Two things OC should start doing:
1) Remove GB & CM. They are divisive.
2) Support other local tournaments such as Rush Champions cup. Start rebuilding bridges

Two things OCYS should stop doing:
1) Taking over every field in North Orlando. You have more than enough especially if you follow the next point.
2) Pretending that they care about lower teams. After the first 3 teams in each age group call it rec. Reduce and concentrate.

Thanks for your response. I know there is a lot of dislike for GB and CM. I haven't had much interaction with them, so I can't really comment on that point. The local clubs boycotted OCYS' Columbus Day tournament, and then you want us to support their tournaments? FCA, Ponte Vedra, and JFC sent teams to our Columbus Day tournament last year. We supported each of those team's tournaments later in the year.

Why do the other clubs care if OCYS calls a team a Gold team or a rec team? I don't understand how that impacts you. Are you saying we should turn people away? Why should they? How many players should OCYS be allowed to have?

Practicing more than 2 times a week and not having my coach spread out between 4 teams.

Do you really believe that if OCYS practices more than 2 times per week that the other clubs will start signing up for their tournaments? How does OCYS' practice schedule impact the other clubs?

I joined OCYS this year.

I like many things what I see OCYS has. Based on my knowledge of 4 clubs in CF area, OCYS is positioned to be the top club.

After 2 months of observation, except for our team coach and his energy/tactical abilities, we are highly dis-appointed with the club
a. 2 days a week practice
b. no SAQ
There is absolutely no value for the dollar paid, returned in service, which is "PLAYER DEVELOPMENT" at every level and age. It is either equal or far below the rest of the area clubs. Compared to my International and elite clubs exposure, OCYS is doing far less to its patrons than what it can actually do. There is a huge potential for PLAYER DEVELOPMENT.

Why OCYS wants a tournament: To raise funds ? $$$$$ MONEY
Where you are using that money and who is benefitted?: Already you have taken short cuts and funding cuts to your existing patrons and that is the proof showing you don't care.

Why it is important for OCYS to change its culture?
Well, if you were not using the name OCYS (say it was like CFK/FSA etc), then low quality would have been OK. But to be associated with MLS/OC, your visionary thinkers need to think beyond FKK. Think beyond one tournament. Think beyond 2014.

It all starts with ACTIONS taken TODAY, NOW!
Wisely utilize the resources and potential to the benefit of your immediate CUSTOMERS while you still have them. Once these LOCAL customers are pissed-off, they still are local, but you cannot fix a broken trust. Think wisely about the big picture, you have Hundreds of Millions on the table to be worried about.
Commissioners and Politicians always have musical chairs game going on, make most of it when the party is still on!!

Well said! A and B teams practice TOGETHER just like you say every year at try outs. Float players between rosters based on weekly performance at training. Lower teams are tired of being treated as revenue only. Try some true development that actually moves players.

How does this impact other local clubs? Assume that OCYS takes your advice, and does everything you listed above. Do you really believe that local clubs will then begin to sign up for OCYS tournaments?

They have made their bed with lovely purple sheets accented with violet pillows and a nice lavender duvet . . . Look at the area and the amount of people they have mistreated (FKK, FCA, Rush) throw in ACYS bc of leadership change, that's the majority of the kids. We don't even need to include all the other smaller clubs. Until ALL of their current staff are turned-over and someone new comes in, CF Soccer will have the US vs THEM mind-set. Even if that happens, that will take time for them to prove with their actions that can he has occurred. Until then, they're the king of the jungle, but most of the other animals are leaving to starve the lion out.

You are failing to see the bigger picture. Other clubs are often made up of players who have tried and left OC because of broken promises. Stop building a base of hatred.

As for the poster who asked why should OC start going to local tournaments if they do not go to OCs. Well firstly, OC was the first to start this cycle both with GCF and the tournaments of local rivals. They also came across very arrogantly when publicizing that OC has the only 'professionally run' tournament in central Florida. Whether they meant it to sound as bad as it did or whether it was just a mistake it does not matter. Secondly, it has to start somewhere.

FYI Ponte Vedra & JFC are not local teams. They may be Region B but Tampa is closer. FCA got into a deal with OC that essentially finished them as a force. That came as a result of the loss of Trotters Park to ACYS. The need for fields forced FCA into deals with OC.

As for the rec argument it is not about other clubs it is about making false promises to their current members. Many leave and join other clubs because of their treatment at OC, do you think that helps build bridges?

I have no idea who hires you .......
1. More practice means better performance.
2. Better performance leads to satisfied customers.
3. Satisfied customers attract more customers- other clubs either improve for their existence or....
4. Better performing inhouse teams attract better teams from other clubs for that TOURNAMENT required level of competition. Have you checked your competing teams records/stats?
5. Where all these competing teams ranked in got soccer? What are the FLIGHT values of your brackets from past?
6. You have absolutely failed to market why you are the best option for a tournament and expect fools like me to teach you how to perform your JOB
7. You may have plenty of Degrees/Licenses, DA/ECNL franchises, but how my kids are benefitted with all that hype?

Well, you take for granted everything. You think throwing your money at problems will resolve those issues. Unfortunately some of that money is stolen from us, you cannot keep fooling us forever.

Invite us officially and we will volunteer to help make your tournament highly succesful within 4 years.

Why not rotate coaches on a weekly performance basis?
